And the new gTLD operators will be rich! Don't forget that they are domainers too: their goal is to make money; they are not in business to undersell assets. If they sell their domains for $10 each, then that's probably all they're worth at the moment.

While I do believe these will have their place in the market eventually, it's too early to be heavily investing in them.

I like .web and .app as well. Web in particular feels long overdue as a viable alternative to com and net.

Usually with infographics the size difference is related to importance or percentage. But with this one it looks bigger just means longer word. So its the 2016 extensions, red line, green line.

We often laugh at these extensions, but they are a normal progression and wont go away (they will even bend the rules in the future to keep them)

Please dont try to buy sex and casino on each one lol

Alternatives are great - but let's be honest. Most of this extensions will never be profitable - they'll squeeze as much $$$ from naive domainers as they can and fail in 5-10 years (at most).
