Is there any sure fire way to check if a name is banned from Google? I have a site that still has not been indexed and its now been over two and a half months.

All the online checkers say the name is not banned, but Im starting to get concerned.

Anyone else having this problem?

Thanks

There are a large number of ways to manually check - but IWebTool have an extremely simple way of doing so.

Just pop in your domain name here and it will give you your answer.

If you want to manually check, have a look at changes in search traffic volume (to 0), indexed pages (the above tool will help with that) etc

If you want to send me your domain, I can check for you to confirm?

New/not indexed yet will look the same as a banned site (won't be a trace of it in the index even with site:yourdomain.tld, inurl:yourdomain.tld ...with and without the "www") - but Google seems to be pretty quick to pick up new sites lately so 2.5 months? Something's going on.

Verify your site in Google Webmaster Tools (if you haven't already) and check to see if there are any crawl errors. Look at your logs - has Googlebot visited the site? What page(s) has it looked at? (WMT will report crawl history also.)

If you picked up the domain on a drop you may have inherited someone else's problems - search archive.org for signs of a bad past life.

If there's no sign of your site, googlebot has been visiting and WMT doesn't show any crawl errors, review the Webmaster Quality Guidelines carefully and file a reconsideration request.

Thanks for your help! I have done most of this and even Google Webmaster recognized the domain and didnt have a problem with it. I tried all the tools to check if its banned, and all of them said that its not (including all the other search engines).

I picked the name up a while ago from Godaddy auctions from a legit seller, so I would hope it's "in good standing". If its not, then they better run!

I have not asked Google for a reconsideration yet because they say it's not banned.

Thanks for everyones help so far. Im lost at this point.

Or even faster?
Just search for:
www.yourdomain.tld

It comes up?
It is indexed.

I tried that also. Nothing shows.

Google Webmaster says: Crawl Errors: "No data available"

Search Queries: "No data available"
