How fast is your blog being indexed?

Some of my blogs get indexed in google within about ten minutes. Others take a day or two. Why is this? How fast is your indexed?

Almost instantly. For me when I checked last time it was 1 hour max.

But its okay I can wait 1 hour.

but i got one of the sites its up for more than 3 months and only 200 pages in google when it should be like 1000 at least by now :S

You may need more pr to get the rest of the pages indexed.

usually it take one day for me on an average. even one day is fast

In one of my blog took 30 mins to 1 hour. Another one takes more than a month :D

Having an updated sitemap file sent to google everytime you update your site really helps speed it up.

actually i think it's pinging google that helps to speed it up.

We have set up quite a few brand new sites recently and noticed that they get indexed within a day without fail. Maybe because wordpress automatically pings technorati which pings google

Compared to about 2 weeks for a couple of static sites we have done - we have learnt to put wordpress on and then just post a couple of dummy posts. Take it off a few days later and ta-da - you have google visiting a static site much quicker

mmm maybe i could turn this into an ebook and $$$$'s

actually i think it's pinging google that helps to speed it up.

To be index faster after you posted try to ping your blog and try to submit it to digg. It also depends on your method, google can index a blog in few minutes

Submitting a page to high-ranking social bookmarking sites can quicken Google indexing. If you have an RSS, burn your blog in Feedburner. Feedburner pings Google and other Search engines when your blog has a new entry or post.

wordpress already comes with a built-in pinging system that pings a lot of service. feedburner is not required to do this.
