Google bot issue???

Anyone know if this issue has been addressed? This was posted a few days ago.

Cuailean said:
Most of the others are commonly used generic words, or phrases, in uncommon extensions, so they rely very much on google indexing for their traffic. All have lost their previous SE indexing and traffic is VERY low. This message from Badger posted yesterday on Acorn Domains may shed some light on this problem (hope you don't mind me pasting it here Badger):

"hi guys,

Ok, got to the bottom of this... The reason why this is currently so is because we banned the google bot...

Long story, the short answer being that we have security measures in place that tell bots not to follow a particular link.. This catches all the scrapers and bad bots that dont obey what we tell them to do.. Unfortunately Google bot seems to have not obeyed this rule on one occasion and hence got itself banned..

As ironic as this is, i appreciate this doesnt help something which we previously prided ourselves on... That being lots of nicely indexed pages... Ok, proactively, were gonna resolve this issue today."

So lets hope this is soon sorted out and we see our pages being indexed quickly and visitor numbers increasing.

Almost two weeks passed, and iModo has still been in finding clues to solve the "bugs" as they claimed. :imho:

:hi: iModo, I sincerely hope you guys will solve the problems very soon, otherwise you'll lose more and more domains.

iModo uses PHP-database (auto) coding. However, what's the heck why iModo bug-fixing is so slow? What's the "bug"? You guys look like no ways or no skills to fix them?

Maybe I can help with iModo, free 24 hours help or to pay me for more than 24 hours' help. I'm familiar with Php coding and database admin and webpage coding.

Anyway, I sincerely expect that iMOdo will quickly solve the "bugs" and other possible problems, resume those original page-customization features of 1puls.net, and bring some new and good additions.

Please be faster!

SO it has been over 10 DAYS NO HELP with the GOOGLE BOT! I am still not tracking ANY HITS for over 10 days on over 60 domains --->ZERO REVENUE FROM ANY LEGACY TEMPLATES. I am moving my revenue names somewhere that I can at least track my good traffic and continue on with my life. STILL NO HLEP WITH THE NEWS LINKS EITHER.

Plain and simple fact is NO ONE HAS DIRECTLY ADDRESSED ANY OF MY POSTS NOR HAS CUSTOMER SUPPORT REPLIED WITHIN 10 DAYS...

I LOVE 1PLUS.NET BUT THIS IS GETTIN RIDICULOUS.

Hi David,

Nice of you to offer your time. :)

To let everyone know, I am in daily contact with Badger and can assure all that RJ and Ian are busy with the Front end while Serge's iMoDo Tech Team are working on all the Backend issues with due diligence.

The transition over from 1Plus along with all the new changes and extras implemented into iMoDo is a step by step process. In light of what is being offered to us free of charge, 2 weeks is nothing considering the benefits in the works and still to come.

This is a huge project that requires patience and consideration from all of us, as well as our trust in those involved with putting the complete package together, and understanding they are determined and dedicated to resolving problems thoroughly and finally rather than "quick fixes" that wont stand the test of time.

The support system is active and and being upgraded as we speak, the knowledge base is growing daily, and everyone needs start using the resources already available, since many of the complaints in this thread can be resolved by self checking the FAQ's and following the directions first before coming here stating this or that is wrong or not working. :tu:

There will always be specific issues with every parking service and that domains perform differently with each system, so if your names are not earning up to expectations one place, simply move them around until they do.

I have nothing but praise for the support I’ve had at iMODO. Furthermore they have been very helpful and quick in responding to any question I have throw at them.
Let’s not forget as a group of people they have in all probability forgotten more than most of us know about this game. I personally will stick with iMODO, because I believe that what I have seen so far (only just over a month), and what is on its way is far better than the other parking companies I’ve been with so far.

I am amazed at what people expect. There is absolutely no way to evaluate how iMODO will perform until Yahoo gets their head out of their collective a***s. I am moving some of my names to legacy so the SE's see some content. It seems to me like a better option than stremic right now. The few stremic clicks I am seeing do not make me do handsprings.

For me, it is a waiting game right now.

iMoDo is a startup website.

Usually a startup website should not be saturated with many things. At first, simply maintain the most important factors---such as those of previous 1plus.net, the news feeds, the free customization of header keywords/key phrases, the free customization of news links, and the free customization of domain parking pages, including the free adding of users' own Adsense codes or users' own business links (text links and banner links) as an option for users who may feel Adsense earnings going down so they can use their own more-pay-out business programs---these are the most beneficial elements of 1plus.net that have been attractive to many domain owners, in my eyes. These original 1Plus.net good features, among others, are very important for domain owners as users to promote their domain sites, and to optimize their domain sites' search engine rankings---all these are vital for domain owners and 1Plus/iMoDo in business, in the long run.

With more website traffic and users' feedback illuminated, iMoDo can update periodically with more new features, as needed.

The smart thing to do now is simply loading those original features of 1plus.net, as fast as possible, to keep those already existing domains in accounts.

Also be wise to choose some images---I have seen some nonprofessional images appearing on my domains' parking pages with iMoDo---such as a photo picture of a family house indoor scene. Some of the original images on 1plus.net parking pages, sincerely speaking, were nonprofessional, and were amateur looking, for example, one bare-(upper)body guy that always accompanied the "health" news link. Sure, these 1Plus.net images should be updated with something professional, businesslike, and good looking---the most important point here is that any web (parking) page image should be agreed and accepted by most people, in most societies, delivering a positive, exemplifying purpose as a general means. Because 1Plus/iMoDo parking page images (the upper left big ones) are located at a central place easily catching visitors' eyes and minds, those images are very important and should be carefully and professionally selected.

Once my 180+ domains were parked with 1plus.net. However, things often change beyond my expectation. This time, I sincerely expect things will change better, not worse.

There is still work in progress at the moment, I have moved some names to Imodo, and am just getting them monetized for the future right now, patience is the key right now, Once everything is finished, I expect it will be the best domain parking service available, working the bugs out, Isn't fun for Ron or Ian either, So practice a little patience, It will pay off if you do.

What kind of domains? (i.e., ccTLD's)?

Also..."iDOMO"! ...maybe not a bad idea, but apparently already taken!

:hi:

What Registrar are you using?

Some Registrars require the domain to be Unlocked before changes can be made.

ccTLD = Country Code Top Level Domain

cc = Country Code

TLD = Top Level Domain
(the letters that come after the dot. So with NamePros.com, .com is the TLD.
Usually 3 letters sometimes more as in .Info, .Travel ,.Museum ,etc.)

ccTLD are two letters
(.de (Germany), .us (United States), .uk (United Kingdom), .in (India) ,etc)

Hello,

It's 2:30 AM here and I figured I'd go shopping for a new parking service as a fall back plan. Went to Imodo to sign up but looks like I'm getting a mysql connect error.

May want to take a look at it.

As well, is it possible to sign up to get an active account with Imodo.com right now?

Love to give it a spin.

- Bob

I was really excited to try imodo because of all the hype, but when I finally got activated I moved a couple names from 1plus and imodo sucks. I think 1plus is 100 times better, but since that is going to be phased out I just decided to leave the whole operation and go back to sedo. Sorry Imodo, but you have a long way to go, probably too far......

There must be something wrong with our stats. Ours show you had 4 names parked with iMODO for 2 days, from the 18th to the 19th of November.. Im saying the stats must be wrong, for surely no-one would say something "sucked" after just 2 days.

Im sorry to see you leave and also sorry you have been mis-informed about the 1plus templates being phased out.

For everyone else, I have to say that Im becoming a little disheartened by this thread - which you'll notice we never started, nor have ever "hyped"..

Lets make this perfectly clear, aside from having to fight a continuous surge of spam sign ups and scammers attempting to get into our system, all we have done is announce to our users that 1plus.net (which never earned even enough to pay for our servers) is being transitioned over to iMODO... We've not begged anyone to join OR made any grandiose statements that were the second coming in domain parking. Were also merely a month old. So please bear that in mind when you offer your positive feedback.

Actually, if anyone could ever be bothered to read our FAQ it says this
"However, as much of a moving feast which iMODO still is, there are still a lot of changes, additions and amendments which we intend to make. It is still raw. It’s also still buggy and will take us some more toil in order to get it right.. The good news is, this is our beta phase and we have a lot of other funky stuff in development. In parallel to 1plus.net (our proof of concept platform), user help and guidance is invaluable to us and we welcome and support both ‘working groups’ and individual suggestions."

Im actually starting to believe that some of the folks posting in this thread are working to some sort of alternative agenda.. Paranoid or what?
