Ok, I have played around with Imodo for about a week now and do not really understand it. I was not apart of the 1Plus version, but do currently have a premium account.

I thought it maybe helpful for others if I ask for suggestions about a particular domain set up on Imodo and namepro buddys give advice. (If this is not appropriate for this forum please let me know and I will move it.)

Here goes:

What is the best way to set up www.zombiepic.com on Imodo?

- Legacy / Premium?
- Template type?
- Any suggestions

I am asking because I previously set up a medium quality domain with no success.

Hey guys what is the reference to adsense code for the legacy template ? I just signed up with imodo.com so I am pretty much clueless.

IF i input my adsense code will i receive 100% of the adsense revenue for the legacy templates or will it be shared ?

There has to be some kind of bug.

Starting November 19-20th my names started switching templates from my prefered LEGACY templates to parking templates. MMAFightvideo.com and MMAfights.Net both swithced from News to parking. Then MMAFightVideos.com switched on the 24th from Evening News to a Morning News template. Now that they all changed in some way, either my google adsense stopped tracking or there is a MAJOR GLITCH in the traffic stream. I am almost certain there is a glitch in the traffic stream!

MMAFights.net Stopped getting traffic on November 19, so I checked and it was a parked page, the parking stats seemed to be similar to what I was getting prior to the switch. Here is a jpg of the parking stats - one thing is wierd, there is no stats for the 23rd?


MMAFightVideo.com Stopped getting traffic on November 20th as well, I checked and it was a parked page also! I checked the stats from the parking and something is definately wrong- it is getting WAY TOO much traffic. Here is a jpg of the traffic from imodo Starting on the 20th it gets alot of traffic much more than it should or ever has, then on the 23rd it goes back to normal levels...

Coincidentally...
MMAFightVideos.com also losses ALL traffic around the same time...

This name switched over from an Evening template to a Morning template and when it did, the TRAFFIC syphoned off somewhere else. NOT MY FAVORITE. Especially when I have spent the last month trying to sell these names based on traffic. Traffic that now is going somewhere else. I am tempted to hurry up and make a storefront to capitalize on the traffic instead of someone else potentially making money from it.

I also noticed that another name in my portfolio switched over - enhancedsport.com - it started getting alot of traffic around the same time too. Here is a peculiar jpg of stats. LOL it gets ALOT of TRAFFIC right around the same time my other names lose theirs... I mean look at the inflated stats, 20th - 36, 21st - 131, 22nd - 55, then back to normal yesterday with a whole whopping 1!!! Not to mention the Oddity of missing stats from the 23rd and 24th LOL!


It does not take a genius to see that there is a problem with the traffic stream. QUCIK QUESTION - Now that my names are not parking, where did my traffic go? It seems to me that the traffic stream did not switch back with the legacy templates? Also I cant adjust the news links on the Legacy templates...

Please help! I love what 1plus.net has done for my names, they have been a godsend, I just needed to point out how strange things are in my account. PLEASE HELP! I submitted a support ticket but it was not near as informational as this post.

Basically all of the names I listed are NOT GETTING their traffic back after they switched templates!!! I am going to move my name elsewhere as I know these names get traffic and it is obviously going to someone else. No way do I want to move them but if I cant get any help and I make ZERO revenue because the traffic stream is all screwed what else am I to do! None of the names I listed are tracking even one hit, which is freaking impossible because I have gone to the names from 4 different computers, 3 of them are mine and one was at another persons house.

PLEASE AT LEAST REPLY in one way or another!

I know that Imodo is under construction but I dont even want to use their feeds, I just want 1plus.net features to work and they DON'T!!! I mean just about all features do not work anymore! I cant get the traffic stream to connect to legacy templates and I surely can't alter the NEWS LINKS ANYMORE!!! It only lists the default news links which does not help anything. Even from the 1plus.net side I can't change anything.

I am very frustated as I have been adimately trying to sell my names based on traffic and your traffic stream is not sending me any type ins or search engine traffic after averaging over 600 type-ins/month and over 200 traffic from search engines.... Its not right

Can someone at least acknowledge that there is a problem so I dont have to keep repeating myself over and over...

have just 3 names set as legacy. I wanted to switch to another template (former 1plus templates) but it didn t allow me to. I kept the one I had as i know that those templates are there not to stay long. I think they kept those legacy just for continuity with the old system, but probably are not monitored anymore ... there are indeed bugs but probably best thing is PM to badger that usually promptly answer to relevant question. Other then this I can t help :td:

(1) My customized news links weren't transferred from 1Plus, so my adsense revenue seems to have collapsed. I assume (a) they lost their search engine position or (b) something wrong with the feed as previous posts noted.

(2) Backlog of 50 new domains, which I recently registered but haven't bothered to optimize, build links and build traffic, as news link function doesn't work on IMODO. Without the old news link function, its difficult to build traffic on hand registered names.

I signed up 3 or 4 days ago and i haven't got any uniques or clicks at all on any domains? I have had a quick look through the thread to see if its a problem already solved but couldn't see anything. Can anyone guide me to why its doing this? I hope i haven't lost money for three days parking

Still have yet to hear a peep from customer support or anyone for that matter! Going on 5 days!

I am still not getting my traffic back. I checked my analytics and Im still not tracking any hits.

Still cant change the news links on 1plus.net either.

Any help would be appreciated.

Imodo, Search Engine Indexing.

I too have been trying a little batch of domains at Imodo to see how things go. I've had them there almost 3 weeks now. So far have been receiving very little traffic, but have to say the pages do look fantastic!

One name that gets good traffic from old backlinks and type-ins is getting same as it always did at previous parking place - though no revenue yet.

Most of the others are commonly used generic words, or phrases, in uncommon extensions, so they rely very much on google indexing for their traffic. All have lost their previous SE indexing and traffic is VERY low. This message from Badger posted yesterday on Acorn Domains may shed some light on this problem (hope you don't mind me pasting it here Badger):

"hi guys,

Ok, got to the bottom of this... The reason why this is currently so is because we banned the google bot...

Long story, the short answer being that we have security measures in place that tell bots not to follow a particular link.. This catches all the scrapers and bad bots that dont obey what we tell them to do.. Unfortunately Google bot seems to have not obeyed this rule on one occasion and hence got itself banned..

As ironic as this is, i appreciate this doesnt help something which we previously prided ourselves on... That being lots of nicely indexed pages... Ok, proactively, were gonna resolve this issue today."

So lets hope this is soon sorted out and we see our pages being indexed quickly and visitor numbers increasing.

On a more positive note, the clicks I've had have been for reasonable amounts - best was $1.15 (£0.56) and rest around $0.30.

I live in UK and so can see the great looking Imodo premium pages in all their glory (wish all my visitors could see them too ). Have spent hours tweaking the keywords etc. to produce best combination of content and adverts. Some of the sites look very much like real websites, with loads of interesting videos, news and spot on adverts. Great!

But the other sites (about 75%) really need the ability to set separate keywords for each page: news; photos; videos; break-room; etc. As it is, I can either get great looking, and relevant, content on these sites, but with useless ads; OR pages full of relevant ads but no content / inappropriate content!

Also just considering the content itself, a particular keyword will produce a full page of videos (for example) but empty photo and news pages. Argghhh, it's driving me mad trying to find the perfect 'do-it-all' keyword for each site. Please can we have multiple keyword options?!! Also can't wait for the day when we can add our own content - now that will be cool!

I think Imodo has great potential and really admire the huge amount of work and innovation that Badger and his colleagues have put into this. I am happy to sit out these initial teething troubles in eager anticipation of what's to come!

Having said that, will not be shifting rest of my names over until sites are getting indexed properly, premium pages are visible to all, news articles open properly (this may be fixed already), long domain names work properly, and we have bit more control over keywords.

Last week I sent Imodo an email with 20 issues / suggestions on it (well, they did say they wanted feedback. ) They replied in two hours (on Sunday!). Said they'd look into my support issues and other points. Haven't heard back yet but then I expect they're pretty busy right now! Some issues have since been solved (stats for example seem to be working much better now), though some rather nasty little glitches remain. But everyday I'm seeing improvements, so we just have to be patient I think.

No answer to the problem yet, but tech team has been notified about the 1Plus/legacy news links issue.

My take: I chanced three lively domains on Imodo for a test. They have a great idea but their stats take some believing and their CTR/payout looks ludicrous. Once they can get their back end as sharp as the front, I'll be happy to use them again. Menatime, today, I changed DNS. Such a shame. It's currently a job half done. Strange thing is they have the difficult part done. Now they need good reporting and some believable CTRs.

Ok, well, the Googlebot thing makes sense, now that I think of it. I couldn't figure out why everything was down so much on the domains I have in Imodo - once I get clicks, the EPC is great, but I'm just not seeing anywhere near the traffic or clicks I got with them on Namedrive. Hopefully it will be resolved soon.

Question to RJ or Badger. For premiums templates, the AD provider is Yahoo, isn t it? I noticed that the numbers of adds displayed for certain keywords is very low or not existant. On the other side streamic for the same keywords shows lot of adds. On most of the sites you have obviously match the domain name and the keyword, and sometimes this becomes very tricky with the premium templates.
Do you think that the number of advertisers will grow in the near future so that we will get a full page of ads? (with all the goods that comes with that)

I have a question about the stats.

Do the revenue figures under Premium and Standard show the total revenue earned from all the clicks or do they show the average RPC?

Can anyone tell me when Imodo plan to finish Beta phase and be totally available around the world (including North America). I emailed some questions to support and had them answered very promptly however as I was looking at my 350-400 US domain names it was these where I see the money coming from. Unfortunately I was told that in Beta they do not have the facility to broadcast the new pages to North America, but alas no mention as to when they expect too.

Yes, same here, but remember it defaults to the month for viewing, and we won't have Dec. 1st stats until tomorrow. Change the filter and try again...

Unfortunately, the Nov. 30 stats aren't there yet.
