Hi,
some time ago when was 0.60 info promo at registerfly I thought to reg some infos and I had two options:

1. reg some 3 char infos with repeating letters and number and repeating numbers and letter.

2. reg names of Polish biggest town's with "e" prefix ex. eGdansk.info .

I have chosen second option and I regged 23 .infos e+town names. :(

and today is only 2 months after this time and I know that have made wrong decision.

I have putted this e+town.info domains for auction and final winning bid was 1/2 price of reg fee.

I have lost ~$10 on this transaction but thing which hurt me a lot is that in the beginning of July somebody regged most 3 char infos(only 600 left) and today when I was browsing auction place at this forum I have found this auction:

http://www.namepros.com/domains-for-sale-auctions/218087-37c-info-starting-bid-1-a.html

somebody want pay $5 for domain like this !!!!!!!!

I'm so angry because today I could have 23 domains like this with repeating numbers and letters. :'(

Motto of this post is: In domaining business every day You are loosing Your chance for money.

A little bit sad, no need to be angry though.
This happens everyday.
The first bunch of domains I regged when I got into this business are just rubbish and I ended up giving them free and you know what? NO ONE WANTS THEM EVEN THEY ARE FREE!
I am still pretty happy since I have learned the lessons and my latest investments are worth a lot more.
Well, maybe~~
So cheer up, mate! This happens all the time when you start learning something new.

Don't think short term. It's lessons like these that help you make better decisions in the future. It's often said in Sport that you got to loose before you win. I think that it's very relevant in domain trading as well.

In any case, you may have the last laugh.

I was also considering reging some 3-character .infos.

Anyway, they are going to have a lot of difficulty selling all those domains within 12 months, and when it comes to renewal time, the fee will be much more than $0.60. At that time, many of them may drop.

The difference between sports and domain trading is that sports require physical ability, which takes time and practice to develop. Domain trading is all about knowledge and information, which is readily available for free... I think a lot of people learn from mistakes and I'm not discrediting the trial and error method, but at some point you just have to realize that you don't need to reinvent the wheel in order to start rolling... I'm a fairly compulsive person myself, so it's taken me years to come to this realization :)

I've found that forums are a vitally invaluable source of information when it comes to any topic, because you get real life feedback from people who've already gone through the trial and error method... Usually if you take the time to adequately research a topic, you can practically be a pro by the time you actually get your hands dirty...

Ride on the shoulder of giants or however that saying goes...

Learn from your mistakes. Use the anger towards something positive and don't give up.

You're angry or disappointed? We all make mistakes domaining. Live, learn, and move on. You're complaining about $10? Just be happy to know that other people are making much bigger mistakes than yours.
