discuss I’m doing all my domaining with a tablet. What about you?

I used my iMac for all my domaining business before, but now I’ve switched to an iPad. So instead of sitting at my desk with my computer, I’m now semi-sitting in my sofa with my tablet. Still, I try to work the same amount of hours per day.

It seems to work very well. Most of the websites I use are adapted for mobile platforms nowadays.

What about you? Are you mainly using your computer, your tablet, or your smartphone for your domaining? Or a mix of devices?

With proper chairs you be lounging.
You have to try first, don't buy on the internet.

I have great office chairs. Still I think it’s not ideal for anyone to sit down working for 50-60 hours a week, year after year after year...

Got 3 towers, lots of wires and 5 monitors...all pc...and bought about 20 old school keyboards from a local university a couple years ago...I am addicted to the sound and feel of those heavy keyboards!

It's strange how we get into long term habits. I only used laptops for close to 10 years, then my son got me into occasional gaming a few years back, so now I use my desktop almost exclusively for domains & work.

It used to seem like such a burden to work in the office, now it feels like the opposite.

I have become terribly attached with my laptop that whenever I'm using my mobile phone, it's usually like I'm not doing anything meaningful until I switch to my laptop

Spend most of my time at work which doesn't consist of using a computer.

So mostly phone then when at home laptop.

Very cool. Someday for me perhaps. I wish I could use a tablet or a phone but honestly I cant operate effectively without a large screen and a keyboard.

Same here :). Working mindset awakes when I seat in front of my laptop.

been using a 15.6 laptop since 2010 for eveything ( before domaining ) and it was fine
lately i upgraded to Surface laptop 13.5 , I miss my 15.6 screen though
I miss some of the columns on expireddomains . net , i hate that I have to scroll left and right everytime

I feel like it's impossible to do domaining from a tablet or phone because the mouse is a lot faster than touching ,
I can't do nothing unless i have 10-30 tabs open from 2 browsers :\ with 5 -10 different programs windows minimized

also I can't get my fingers of the ctrl+c and ctrl +v buttons , to see compared sales etc,,,it would take for ever to do that on smartphones

tried to do all the work half set on the sofa , struggled dut to the lack of neck support :\

I just did a bunch of updates on many of my websites using my dual screen iMac Pro. I had multiple windows open across multiple programs - Cyberduck Dreamweaver also three different browsers Chrome Safari Firefox to view occasionally the results to see how it rendered and to access Google codes from my G accounts. There’s just no way I could’ve done the work easily if at all on a tablet.

Yesterday because I didn’t feel like going to my desktop I did much of the same work on my MacBook Pro. It was definitely easier and went faster on the dual monitor desktop.

Sometimes I’ll be using Final Cut Pro or Photoshop during these sorts of graphical tasks.

I’m now pecking this NP post away on my iPhone. iPhone isn’t good for much more than relatively simple tasks. You can’t even adjust the size of imgur images on their app - only on the web version.

If you’re doing everything on a tablet or smart phone then you’re probably not doing much.

I use laptop while in office, and sometime in home. And smartphone while outside office and home...
I think no problem with my Samsxxx smartphone because it can be turned to laptop view.
Cheers...

Hopefully that's only true as joke because otherwise it sounds not really aspiring.

I tend to mix devices. I preferred Mac but I've done something to the OSX upgrade. So, as a PC user I'm back on laptop and phone. I find I get a bit of reflection from the laptop, so I use my phone for final editing, so that I can see how it all looks for Mobile customers 😊
It's better for the eyes and health to mix. And the phone is quicker for some quick emails or messages. (That's for domains & websites!)

Can't wrap my head around this. Got nothing against it, but I couldn't manage such a thing (for my own sanity). I know you're in good company with many other NPers though.

If you’re doing everything on a tablet or smart phone then you’re probably not doing much.

I am doing the same thing on my iPad as I do (did) with my iMac, except graphic design:

- Bidding on auctions
- Searching recently dropped names, or names that will drop
- Searching keywords in bulk mode
- Using forums and social media, such as NamePros
- Renewing domains
- Writing and responding to emails
- Browsing data and statistics for keywords and terms

But doing this with a phone just makes me frustrated. ;) Still, I will exclusively use my computer next week and see if I manage to do more during my workweek (50 hours).
