Hi, Sorry if this is a stupid question.

If I buy a Starter license with max. 5,000 accounts, can this later on be upgraded, if I get lucky and need more accounts?

And what would the price be then?

Thanks in forward for your reply.

Best regards,

Hi testingyou,

It's actually a great question. ILance creates software based on tiers to be competitive. Many of our customers are internet startups so they don't usually need more than 5,000 to get started quickly.

The majority of our client base have an established web presence, and already have thousands of members (based on a forum, CMS, portal, etc). For this situation ILance offers a competitive pricing tier that offers not only more users but more domain the software can be launched on. We are also in the position to help you migrate your data from one source to ILance. For example, we've recently created an importer script for vBulletin Forum Software. This is available allowing your members to be logged in to both places, a vBulletin Forum and ILance Marketplace; a Bridge if you will without that user having to re-register to ILance and/or vBulletin to keep your users in tact. All that is covered when you move forward with ILance.

As for your question, absolutely. For example, if you decided that ILance Starter was for you, and you're growing you can simply upgrade to the next tier based on the difference. So if you bought ILance Starter for $497 and decided you needed to jump to the next tier, you'd pay only the difference to the tier you're looking at upgrading to. You do not pay full price.

Let me know if you have any further questions. ILance is priced and built to sell. The product works better than anything I've seen on the market, established since 2002 and fully backed and supported by many developers. I should know, I've been here since 2002 writing the majority of the framework :)

Additionally, ILance offers a community forum to get any of your questions answered professionally and quickly on top of a 250 page online operations manual with full screen shots and descriptive text explaining every area in ILance, how it works, etc.

For developers, we will be releasing our first ever Code Documentation which will outline for all developers how to harness and tap into the ILance framework to create, customize, extend and / or reduce the product to meet your needs.

Regards,
Peter

The revamped My Accounting Control Panel for members gives total direction about their transaction history at a single glance.

Tabs are available to let the user visually see the accounting data as he wants to see it, and in this example he's reviewing his debits (fees and other related invoices) he has paid the marketplace for using it's services.

Account Summary overview shows realtime account activity and balance information for his account as shown below:

Products I'm Bidding On Interface

Product Auction: Items I'm Bidding On Interface

The newly revamped version of the products I'm bidding on area now provides complete overview of bidding activity for that particular user. In this example scenerio, I'm a buyer looking at my Won Activity based on items I've won via Auction Format. Tools such as Private Messages, MediaShare to upload/download files and other related media types is also available. This is great for sellers selling digital items and other related items.

To avoid confusion, a new Buy Now tab is also available letting the user manage his buy it now purchases from a seperate tab as winning an item via Auction vs. Buy Now are two different processes as seen below:

Escrow Manager

Product Escrow Manager

An integrated Escrow system is now available in ILance. Escrow functionality can be enabled or disabled depending on the type of marketplace you will cater toward.

In this example scenerio, I've sold a Camera I was selling via Auction Format to a buyer. The details include the date I sold the listing, to whom, their original bid amount, shipping details and/or related taxes. Additionally you'll see the Escrow Fee and Escrow Amount columns which visually guide the seller (me) on details of the Escrow account.

The Next Step column gives me oversight based on the payment actions performed by the buyer. As you can see, the Escrow process is complete because funds from the buyer transfered into Escrow has been released to my account:

Custom Profile Questions

Custom Profile Questions

Custom profile questions let you arrange your marketplace niche according to your offering. This feature in ILance lets you create questions to be answered by users registering and/or updating their online profile. As a result, questions answered by the user will be displayed on their public profile page. In this example, I'm filling out some questions but I've also paid to verify a few questions (which I can't edit) because they were paid and verified already.

As you can see I've told the marketplace that I've been in Business for 2 years and that I have around 15 employees. As a user filling out the question I was able to have the staff verify this for a fee. When the question is verified, it displays a Verified icon beside the question on the user's profile page showing credibility as a trusted user that has been verified. The admin can set any price on any question. This can lead to many creative and unique ideas itself in this one area of ILance.

Additionally, paid and verified credentials cannot be changed or edited during the period that has been paid for (default is 365 days verified, you can change this accordingly):

What is more - Notice how the HTML layout panel is grouping questions? This is called Profile Grouping and you can create for example a Group for Education, a Group for Experience, and so forth. In the example above we're focusing on Company details, Payment method logic, etc.

Also notice that various questions presented on the page are Radio buttons, pulldown menus and input select boxes. This combination leads to a very diverse way to setup a profile system on your marketplace.

New Skills Manager

Skills Manager

The new and improved Skills Manager lets you create skills related to your marketplace and allows members to opt-in to their areas of expertise quickly. The goal for skills in ILance is to let a user refine his or her abilities quickly so that buyers and other visitors can connect easily with providers that match the expertise required.

Skills are connected to the advanced search engine in ILance making this a breeze when you have thousands of skilled users in your system and buyers are searching for providers based on skills matching.

This was designed on the basis that if you have a Category called "Programming" that doesn't mean everyone knows PHP or ASP. But in previous versions of ILance when Programming Category was selected users saw thousands of results. This skills component lets users narrow down their search making it extremely easy to group providers on your marketplace. In this example, a provider is renewing his Skills and/or updating his profile.

Note about Skills: You as the admin can limit the amount of "skills" a provider may have at any given time. Some people like to think they are the Jack of all trades but are usually the master of none. In that case, there is a setting you can enable to limit the amount of "skills" a single user can hold:

Message of the Day

For marketplace owners that deal with hundreds to thousands of members on a daily basis will enjoy the use of the new Message of the Day "MOTD" feature now available in ILance. How it works is you simply compose the new message of the day and users who login for the first time that day will be presented with the message. Here you can promote new features, make users aware of upcoming events, news, and more in a non-obtrusive manner as shown below:

Lowest Unique Bidding - Buying Activity Panel

The new interface for users bidding on items based on Lowest Unique Bidding has a completely revamped buying manager to review items lost, won and currently active.

Additionally, the PMB icon was removed and replaced with verbose text as to what exactly has been posted in the private message board, giving more direction as to how many messages posted, unread quickly without guesswork.

Interactive icons allow each user to get a quick glimpse of what actions require attention such as the payment column and/or the feedback column as shown below. In the scenerio below, the item was won for $0.06, payment is completed and feedback has been left.

You know psalzmann, all this bumping from you only makes you look foolish.
Lower your price and maybe someone will buy from you.

Hehe, you sound like I slapped together the ILance solution overnight LOL :)

elemembro, in your opinion, how much do you feel something like ILance should be sold for? I mean you need to take into consideration what it is we are offering to assume the price is too high. It's people like you that help change the face of the company, how we sell and to whom we sell and market toward. Perhaps a "lite" version of ILance could be sold at some point in the future, within the $50 to $250 range. ILance is priced to sell IMO. When you move forward with ILance, you know what you're getting and it's a lot more than anything I've seen period.

ILance has customers doing very well, so well in fact the major media news has done many interviews with various ILance customers running the solution for their business operation. I don't think lowering the price of ILance would help any - businesses need to invest to grow. When partners seek out low-cost solutions that hardly work, what is the goal to that? You pay a higher price, you receive a higher quality solution. Not only that, you receive excellent support. Something that cannot be said for many other competing scripts that are bought and sold and relicensed as you see here on NP and other popular forums. It just doesn't work that way when you're trying to get a business off the ground with the sole intention of recouping your investment and earning high profits with little to no effort at all. I think you're too use to "forum sales" where people are jumbling the same silly scripts for $10 day in and day out. I try to make it priority to inform NP community of ILance once every 24 to 48 hours. This is acceptable according to NP. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm not here promoting a "blog script" or the "next best template" - I'm promoting a money making machine that works. In fact, it works so well that even major industry players you are aware of here at NP are moving forward with ILance. Due to our privacy policy at ILance, I am not in the position to give you any urls. I'm sorry. Over time, you'll see what ILance is made of - heck you may even be forced to use the ILance platform to bid, buy and sell domain names on the popular sites you're familar with today... :tu:

That's what you get when you move forward with ILance. You don't get that when you buy a $50 to $250 auction script. Trust me, I should know. I've been developing, promoting and selling ILance since 2002 and it's just not possible taking into consideration everything that is involved to make a marketplace solution work for hundreds of different customers that all have different process flow's in mind. If ILance can cater to these businesses through the use of one solution, I'd say $500 is a surpurb investment to say the least.. wouldn't you? :)

Before you say anymore, I'd review ILance. You don't know what you're missing :)

Take care,

Peter
