Logo design for marketplace product - $150

Hi everyone,

ILance is looking for a new image for it's popular auction software. While our product does more than "forward bidding" we are not looking for a bid hammer. We're looking for a professional look and feel (great use of fonts), proper spacing and easily able to brand the logo into a favicon for web browsers. Some favorite logos are Linked In and eBay because linked in is easily identified via favicon and thumbnails while eBay is fun and exciting.

We've been on the hunt for a great designer for a while now so instead of searching we're trying something different:

We are offering $150 for the best designed logo for ILance. The winner may or may not be declared in this thread (depending on if we want to move foward with your design / talent).

Conditions:
- Please design your mockup on both, white and black background (if possible).
- Final version of the winning logo must be supplied in Vector Format.
- You can play with the "i" in ILance. Lowercase or uppercase, whichever you feel is appropriate.

Hi,

Sorry folks. It seems each time I re-visit the thread one or more images have been removed. I mean this isn't really turning into what we wanted so we're looking for more mockups. Until we find the look and feel we want, we don't know what else to say other than what's been said.

And for the record, if I could, I'd hire you all but I can't. We need a logo, we don't know what we want, but we want a brand look and feel.. not some blog looking logo. ILance is a professional product and we'd like to look professional with a great brand looking logo. One that is similar (but not the same) as logos like Linked In, eBay and others. But I did mention this in the first post

The font is not working for us. I like how you were getting a bit creative with the "i". But it's not what we're looking for.

We kinda like the front used in the big characters.

Could you work this logo around a bit? We'd like to see different variations if possible. Maybe level off the "ance"?

Just so we can see what more can be done to this logo.

Thanks again for your effort. As it does seem like a lot of effort went into this, it's great, it's just not what we would like to see when branding the company image. It's great just not for ILance.

Catch it! Some variations. Although I am not sure you need such colours, I decided thjat the look a bit fresher than green/black.

We're going to have to put a stop to the contest. While I / we appreciate all efforts created for the ILance logo, it's not what we're looking for.

I think we would rather seek out designers with previous logo design work than to waste any more of your guys time.
