If you use a landing page for your Domain would you also list it on Sedo?

I think most will agree that having a landing page is the best thing to do to sell your domain name as the potential buyer types it in and is taken to the lander. Many domains are sold this way.

I've listed domains on Sedo and to be honest wasn't a fan as:

1. There are too many domains on there.
2. Their search results system is flawed.
3. 15% commission is alot for higher selling domains.
4. You have to pay a further percentage if you want to keep sales data private once a domain is sold. This is on top of their commission.

My question is for those who use landers (your own, Efty, Uniregistry etc) do you also list your domains on market places such as Sedo and does it help?

Apart from Sedo and Afternic any better places to list domains?

Or do you just stick to landing pages?

i think some might agree, but that doesn't make it the best thing.

as many inquires i've received over the years, come via email from someone doing a whois search

still, i also use sedo, voodoo, fab, uni, parkingcrew, etc and they all have "landers" or contact forms or sales forms, where you can either link directly to them or, the visitor can follow a "This Domain Name May Be For Sale" banner ad from the PPC page.

imo...

Yes , why not submit to Sedo as well ? Just pay some attention if you have BIN prices.

do you also list your domains on market place

Yes...anywhere to get exposure but as biggie says, my parking has a link to my for sale page (provided thru epik). Also, as much as I like privacy on my domains, the majority of inquiries I have had came thru who is even though all the names have a link for contacting/buying at the top of the page.

90%+ of all my end user leads/sales come direct from my own sales pages, I still list at Sedo, Afternic, Uniregistry etc... as well as ya never know so a few sales do happen here and there from other sources.

I would agree that you should have a landing page on all your domains.

I have tried Sedo and Flippa but I just hate the whole idea of paying someone for a sub-standard, greedy service. So I do it myself with outbound marketing and landing pages play a big part. A landing page with good sales copy is a like lead magnet. I always try to get the visitor to sign up to a mailing list.

Sounds awesome! Mind sharing your landing pages as an example? :glasses:
