.tv IDN .tv reg at GoDaddy not working?

Unable to reg IDNs .TVs at Godaddy. When I try I get an error message – something like illegal/invalid name. .com, .net, etc. are available as IDN reg, but not .tv. And the same IDN is available to reg on Enom.

Anyone else experience this at GD? Or know whether or not GD allows .TV IDN reg? Thanks, Carryon

GD doesn't support regging IDN .TVs. You have to use either Name.com or Dynadot.com.

Thanks del, that's too bad - just thinking of ways to take advantage of the $9.99 rate. I imagine there would be no reason why GD wouldn't want to offer IDN .tv regging. Wonder why not? Verisign not allowing them?

Nice one! I think one's like this can be worth more than ASCII version in the long term. Although I don't know what internet usage in Iran is? But I imagine there will be a news agency there who would want this.

Many IDN gems still available. Just wait til IE7 becomes that standard browser. Why not reg at enom for 24.95$ vs 35$?

Genève.tv (Geneva in French - the real way its spelled).

I got this to add to my French & Swiss Geo collection. Its like a swing geo that connects both sets of geos. Both Genève.com and Genève.ch are developed IDN sites.

Thanks, too bad I couldn't get Zurich too - Zurich Financial Sevices has most of the extensions.

As for the surname LI, wow, imagine 108 million people with the same surname. How about offering a free email account to all the LIs, then a Li match-making service - no name change necessary!

Very nice registration.

IDN names are gaining popularity, and some IDNs were sold for $xx,xxx. I believe, my IDN names would go for nice figures.
