I need help with getting my site on Google.

Ok well I started my first blog www.boarderslife.com and I don't know how to get google to recognize it do I have to submit my site to google to get my PR? Or will they give me PR once I deserve it because I go to alot of old sites that have no PR and I was wondering why they don't have any.

So how do I get my site into the PR system?

There many be many factors like link popularity,Inbound links,position in search engine
One of the best way to improve your PR is link exchange or buy links.Also you can do directory submission

your site has pagerank... pagerank of zero :P

everyone's pr updates about once every four months if i remember right. i think google needs to have had indexed your site to determine its pr.

How long does it take them to index my site?

It can take 6 months for google to index your site. If you can get links from other web sites, forums, other blogs etc, google will pick them up and get you indexed more quickly. If you get a link from a PR5 site, google will pick it up in a day or two, but may only index your home page and then index your site slowly. If you do the recommended thing of writing good content, both on your own site and by leaving comments on other sites, you don't need to worry.
