To all Nps members I appologize for what I'm about to say. But I have to say it.
Mods I'm sorry. If you have to pull it I understand but I gotta say this.

I am sooooo FN sick of FN cops chasing cars and killing innocent people.
These idiots are gung ho punks that don't give a damn about you or yours.
They cased a car they THOUGHT was stolen and it slammed into a truck
killing 7 people 4 children. ALL FOR A FOCKEN STOLEN CAR? ARE YOU
ARSWHOLES STUPID? YOU BEAT YOUR WIVES, KICK YOUR DOGS AND
KILL INNOCENT PEOPLE.

If any of you are cops PLEASE show some control. Stop car chases. You are
killing people over a piece of junk car. STOP IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is one of the
reasons citizens can't stand you. You abuse your power and justify it. You are
suppose to serve and protect US not kill us.

What the hell is so important about a stolen car that you are will to put hundreds
of citizens in danger for? Why are you so ignorant? You can't tag and track a car?
You don't realize the helicopters that film this ignorance can also follow these stolen
cars? Or are you so strung up and hyped with your knee in my neck training that
you can't think?

Good job LA Police dept. You killed 7 people 4 of them children and caught a stolen car.
I wont doubt you try to blame the victims for not having seat belts on or too many people
in a vehicle. I'm sure you will find a way to justify and blame all in the same pathetic motion.
Or lets blame the perp after all it's their fault for running away. The only problem with that is
they are not trained and sworn to protect us like cops are. The perps don't have radios and
dozens of officers to assist. They don't have access to technology like cops do. They are ignorant
criminals and you stoop to their level when you ingage in car chases.

Thank God I'm not the only person here who is fed up with the pigs (COPS)

I will not lie, I do partake in some illegal activities with some illegal plants, if you know what I mean. I got pulled over once, had about $100 worth of it in my car, the cop took it, and let me go. I know a few people on the force, and that particular cop is always taking evidence and smoking it away. I know what I did was illegal, but what he did was just as bad. It really pisses me off when they get power hungry.

One day, I feel, this will all blow up in their faces.

Why was there a chase if everyone inside was innocent?

The people that created the chase in the suspected stolen car should face manslaughter charges at the very least.

http://blogs.usatoday.com/ondeadline/2009/08/car-flees-police-kills-4-kids-in-california.html

Found the story.

Parents are complete idiots. I have 4 kids. They are NEVER in the car without their childs seat or seatbelts. The kids who were killed were 1, 3, 4 and 7 years old. Only the 7 year old could be without a child seat and that's a maybe. My 7 year old still sits in a booster and so does my 6 year old. Just 2 months ago we replaced her child seat. So WTF was the 1 and 3 year old doing without seats? If I am not mistaken it's the law they should be in them. It's also smart common sense.

You should be more upset at the idiots parents than cops trying to do their job.

That's where a Dodge Neon being pursued by Dinuba police ran a stop sign and slammed into a GMC pickup carrying an Orange Cove family, shoving both vehicles into the orchard.

And it's the cops fault for chasing? Please.

The whole F-Cops routine is BS.

Here read this:
http://www.fresnobee.com/406/story/1586552.html
Martinez said a preliminary investigation showed all the children were ejected from the pickup and died at the scene. He said there is no evidence that the children were using safety equipment such as seat belts, child restraint seats or booster seats. These seats are required for children younger than 6 years old or weighing less than 60 pounds, Martinez said.

Blame the ignorant parents for the deaths. Had the kids been safely secured in the car their injuries would have not taken their lives. Heck they might have been totally fine.

Police chased a car they "thought" was stolen. The high speed chase ended when the chased car plowed into a truck with a family in it.
5 children and 2 adults killed.

Reading more..

The Dodge Neon was stolen out of Selma around midnight Friday, Dinuba police Sgt. Thad Ashford said. It was carjacked...

So they were trying to catch very dangerous criminals that might eventually or possibly already have killed people. It's sad that innocent lives were lost especially the childrens but this could have been prevented by concerned parents. It's not hard to put on a seatbelt.

And you just sort of proved NN point. You would make a great police official...lol.

BTW...People die wearing their seatbelts as well, or does that little fact escape you???

I'm sure given your length and breadth of your vehicular saftey knowledge that you could state, without a doubt, that the children would have survived the high speed impact.

Here in Australia they call chases off when they are deemed to have become too dangerous. It's the whole protect and serve ideal actually put into practice. NN is right in his outrage at this. It's mindless and reckless endagerment of innocent people.

I think running from the cops was the issue over here.

Why to run from cops :( If you did something then there is no place to hide and if you didn't do something then why to even try to hide.

I'll chime back in .... The "beating your wives, kicking your dogs" was out of line. I'm not fixating on the personal and social skills here. My rant is clearly on the decision to chase a vehicle through city streets and highways. I'm not stating cops are bad let me say this clear as a bell. And perhaps my angst is with policy and not the officers. But a man/woman does make the decision to act or not.

People die without car chases too. Or does that fact escape you? Don't use a strawman argument. Let's worry about the facts in this story which the OP like to devalue.

Were you at the chase? Many states and local agencies in the USA have that same policy. That's part of the problem blaming the cops. The story doesn't say how fast the chase was. If it was 50-60 then would you call off a chase? People can die at that speed with or without a seatbelt but we all know safety for your children should be taken whenever they are in a vehicle. It's not the police that are responsible if parents choose to ignore basic safety.

Dude...as a parent with children I wouldn't want anything to hit my car even with the kids having their belts on, at any speed. It dosen't take that much to kill or maim a child. I find it hard to believe that you would be a parent and think that any sort of reckless endagerment by any individual or worse, a police officer, is alright and justifiable, for any reason.

Screw common sense. You should be a police officer.

And no...I wasn't there. Were you??
