Not cheap. But a good substitute. I never use them if I can find an alternative.

Im going to have to agree with gemstar...hyphens are used the world over and have proven just as successful if developed. dont be so narrow minded, im sure you think .com is the only worthwhile ext as well.

FYI: fast-degrees-online.com is being sold as a complete website with earnings well over $50k a year

This sale was based on the website and revenue, not the domain itself.

However, I sell hyphenated keyword domains to end users frequently.
End users have far less or a problem with hyphens than domainers do.

More than anything else, props to the seller and to the broker (Latona). If that was mine and I had a 1k offer I'd say :sold: in a heartbeat.

Just saw this, you cannot quantify this as a domain sale at all in that case.

This sale does 100% nothing for the 'future of hyphenated domains.' It was a sale of a site, not merely the domain. Without the site, the sale wouldn't have been $10.

Is it a degree escrow company? You pay them and they dont pay the school until they mail you the "degree" The day after you buy this those fake schools deal with a new middleman LOL

You know I was going to reg a few hyphen .coms but after actually researching the news & seeing what's trending now, there are tons of .coms that can be handregged & developed into sites that are real entities instead of domains that do squat.

Regging domains hyphen or not & hoping someone will buy them is passe now as the world market has basically died in all industries & unless u luck out with an end user wanting your specific domain the chances of your domains sitting in sedo or afternic waiting for a buyer is very high.

Simply go to sedo & type in any keyword & u see that there are thousands of domains that look great but do squat except make the reg companies richer.

Stop wasting your $ on domains & make sites. Thats the key imho as it took me a while to get it through my thick skull. Domaining is great if u have the $ to sit on names & hope someone buys but what's the point in that these days? Stop making other people rich!

Take your hard earned $, start with 1 decent handregged domain, make a site for $50 & market the crap out of it. Thats my goal for 2011.
