Say you are looking at some dot TVs. You think they might be premiums but the owner says they are standard reg fee. Is there a way to verify this before buying them?

When you check a name and it's available, then it is a regular price. If not, you have the option to see purchase request link with the actual price.

Hope this help you.

As mentioned above, Ahead.tv is a great tool for not only determining if a .TV is a premium but also the annual cost of the premium renewal fee.

Keep in mind that if a domain is registered anywhere other than enom, it's not a premium. That often saves me time.

Found it, thanks. Looks like a great resource. And yes it gave me exactly the info I was seeking.

Good to know. thanks.

I would not recommend relying on unofficial sites for renewal pricing information. Demand Media invites buyers to contact them regarding this information if they are seriously considering the purchase of premium .tv name should they have any questions (the last I checked). Unfortunately, some members of the NamePros .tv community chased off the only representative that they had on this forum.

Who was that person - can we invite them or their replacement back?

Just curious, what is DMs relation to dot TV? I would have thought eNom would be the source for authoritative info...

Quinn. She spent her time here to help dot tv enthusiasts, but some of us made her life miserable. She spent time on here when she could have been doing other things at work (she was not asked to monitor the forum by anyone at DM). I think this community burnt that bridge even though the members are not exactly the same today.

DM owns eNom. Either entity can provide authoritative information.

You might want to check again. They don't provide premium information on registered domains. Ahead.tv is the only choice.
