I think you're better off selling through a domain name blog -- I've sold close to 30k worth directly through a couple blogs over the past 18 months with very little effort put into selling other than just listing the domains on the blog. There's a lot of users on those social networking sites, however 99.99% of them are highly untargeted to the domain name niche. Get yourself 5 or 10 thousand targeted monthly uniques on a domain name blog and you'll start to see results.
