Hello,

Let's say I'm following an expiring traffic name at tdnam. Let's say GoDaddy's stats show 1,000 visitors per month. The traffic comes from links from other websites.

In addition, let's say that the best and most obvious keywords for this site get around 40 cents per click, according to Yahoo/Overture.

How would you determine an estimate of monthly revenue if pointed to a PPC site?

What would be your top bid for this name and why?

What other factors would you consider?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Tom

Don't trust the Godaddy stats at all, there is a thread in the main forum about that. Those are only assumptions.

OK. Let's say they are assumptions. But for the above example, let's say they're correct. The same questions apply.

1000 visitors(10% CTR) = 100 clicks X $0.40 = $40 per month

$121, I usually only pay 3 months revenue, someone did let it drop !!
What other factors would you consider?
The name itself, the extension, its brandability, the probability Godaddy is inacurate.
