All,
I have a question about type in traffic and whether or not it can be directly correlated to domain name value.
Let's say I determine the possible type in traffic is 1000 uniques per month. Is there any way to reasonably estimate the value of that domain? Let's say th cpc is a $1 and I get a 5% click through rate. Can I deduce anything from this data? Is that domain worth say, at least $600? (A year's worth of income from just clicks.)
Now if those 1000 uniques represents only 2% of the total potential traffic, could I deduce that total traffic on our domain might be say 50,000 month and the actual value may be closer to $30,000?
Finally, what is considered an average amount of type in traffic? Obviously cars.com gets a lot more than brassknuckles.com, but is there an established average for generic keywords.
I hope I'm making sense and not asking an impossible question.
Thanks,
Craig
