Apart from
  • listing domain name on Sedo.com,
  • Having a landing page and
  • a clear email ID on Whois
What else can be done to market the domain names that we have for sale?

Pick the right domains. If you have good domains, end users will find you. On the other hand, exposure will not make bad domains sell.

Then the right question would be: how to register the right domains?

Read a lot. Learn. Learn. Learn more. Gain experience. It's going to take a lot of time. But those looking for shortcuts and trying to bypass the learning curve will lose money and ultimately go back to square one - or drop out.

Too many newbies think hard about where to list their domains, and how to market them. They are putting the car before the horse. They should first educate themselves about domain value. If the domains aren't good, they won't sell but the problem is not exposure. The problem is quality.
Everybody can register a domain name. Not everybody can register a winning domain name.

Much easier said then done. OP has a good question. If you're auctioning a domain for just 30 days, users may never even know until well too late. may pay to get a broker who specializes in searching for potential owners if the domain is valuable enough. Or if you're savvy, contact the domain owners directly and let them know.

Of course it's easier said then done.

In fact, I don't like the question "how to register the right domains?"
Instead, it should be: "how/where to acquire the right domains"

Because you know the deal on regfee domains. The golden nuggets were picked long ago, they aren't waiting for you...

In fact, listing the domains on the marketplaces like Sedo is not going to get you so many more eyeballs. Because there are millions of domains listed. Unless somebody is looking for your domain in particular, what are the odds it will be found.

That's why you must own domains that end users will be looking for.
Back to square one.
