How many charecters?

What is the maximum charecters a domain name can be? I heard it's 62, but not sure..

GoDaddy won't let more than 63 characters in its domain check line, I think that's for a reason

That website is owned by a fellow NP'r here. It was up for sale awhile back and the original owner sold to another member here.

It was originally owned by jj2ii3344 but then he sold it to DragonHawk, I'm not sure if he still owns it or not. It's a very nice and unique service, I've had an account there for awhile now. :tu:

Do a search here for longest email and there are a few results for it.

But if I register a IDN Domain the domain as 63 letters or digits. because it must have xn--
