How is ABCNEWS not TM ?? Currently being auctioned on GoDaddy.

I don't understand how abcnews dot org is not tm... there is like 18 bids on it right now on godaddy auctions?

It certainly isn't the first time GoDaddy has auctioned a TM-infringing domain, and it certainly won't be the last.

Hell, why even bid on an active auction when there are TM's listed with BIN's? Then, you can get it quicker. May have to pay more though.

Who knows? Maybe they're using it in good faith.

I think it could be a number of things. Someone overseas that doesn't know the brand, or a newcomer to the industry that just understands that traffic equals eyeballs/money, and has no knowledge of the trademark system.

People in countries, some countries more than others, outside of US don't care what they register since for the most part there are absolutely no legal proceedings that can be brought against them other than an udrp, and they don't care about that.
