I am going to with hold the domain name for now.

I was on Godaddy the other day, and came across a name that intrigued me. It had some age. It was short, I decided to roll the dice. I wish the story ended there! As it turns out there is a TM on the name. I do wonder if it is about to drop though? It is a name that could go many different ways . . . Id say it is a brandable, not a dictionary word. From the TM perspective I could EASILY use it in different ways than the TM covers I guess what I don't understand is . . .

If I had a name like kitti and I had my business around kitti, why/how does it drop so that I pick it up at a closeout?

You have to take a look at restrictions on TM as well. Is it broad or does it only apply to certain sectors...

IE Apple trademark applies only to electronics., and not say... travel... ie Apple Vacations.
