How is a domain transfer conducted at GoDaddy?

I just sold one of my domains... How is the transfer conducted at GoDaddy?

What does the buyer need to do to initiate the transfer?
Neither of us seems to have done this before (!).

I know he will need the authorization code, so I have unlocked my domain and forwarded this to him, but I am clueless as to what he has to do on his end...

Is his account at GoDaddy also? If so you just need to push the domain to his account.

You don't need to unlock and send the auth code unless the domain is going to another registrar.

To push the domain you just need the other users Account # and email.
