How have you sold your domains

I am just curious. I've flipped about ten domains now (some which were really juicy ), but I own hundreds of them . which has been the best method of buying/selling domains ?
Consider the following :
1)What to look for in domain
2)where to find prospective buyers
3) how you interacted with those buyers
4) the payment methods you've used etc. Thanks ! :)

The biggest sales I've made have come from marketplaces (mainly GoDaddy, Sedo, and Flippa) and direct end user contact. But, the forums right here are another good place to sell if you are willing to accept reseller prices.

That sounds about right . all of my sales were off of eBay, sedo, or godaddy,. I did attempt to reach out to potential end users using the who is information ( calling and email) , but that has FAR from worked for me . how have you gone about it ?

This is just what works for me

1) Email end-users with a short to-the-point email offering your name

2) Ensure you have a decision-maker in the company, DONT just use the WHOIS email, most of the time it will get ignored/deleted - Use LinkedIn, Bloomberg, yahoo Finance, Company site, Google etc to find out who the CEO, Business Development Manager is and contact them directly

3) Be patient, they dont always reply straight away (if at all) - Don't flood them with emails if they dont reply

4) Be polite and professional at all times, thank them for their time if they aren't interested, you never know if they might need/want the name later on.

5) Use Escrow for sales, it provides them with a level of security when dealing with someone they dont know, especially if you have contacted them first.

6) Send an email after the Escrow transaction asking them if they have the name in their account, thank them for their time, wish them all the best in the future etc...I think politeness and professionalism goes a long way in this industry, especially with the all the scammers online these days

That sounds good as well. How long is an ordinary pitch-wait-followup-close sale-cash out process for you ? I did contact an end user. Who responded three months later but I ended up selling for a deep lost on eBay (due to impatience ) .

I really judge this on specific companies and who I emailed at the time. I find the larger companies tend to take longer to reply so I usually give them a bit longer

Of course that sounds the way to go. And to what extent would you consider a business and a domain relatable ? For example selling "webuydiamonds.com" for a jewelry store or "gotyoucovered.com" for an insurance company would be sure shot leads. But have you ever sold a domain that was catchy but didn't relate such as ; "crispclean.com" for a dry cleaner business or "timezoneworld.com" to a watch crafter ?

For example I have this niche domain "LawyerMarriage.com" it is in a very specific Niche ( marriage,legal,divorces,weddings) right?
But I've contacted dozens 1)marriage lawyers,2) wedding planners 3) domain investors with similar domains and 4) a DNF search of any recent domain that had similar keywords and contacted those buyers . what am I doing wrong ?

I only really focus on domains/words directly related to the end-user

"crispclean.com" for a dry cleaner business

This doesn't really work unless you get really lucky
