I'm trying to transfer out from Netsol to Website.in but it shows the following info which I find confusing

On the netsol website it says: If you still want to transfer your domain name registration away from your Network Solutions account to another registrar, you must contact your new registrar of choice to initiate the transfer process. Your new registrar will most likely send an e-mail to the Administrative Contact listed in the public WHOIS record to confirm your transfer request before it can be processed. Network Solutions will also send a transfer authorization e-mail to the Primary Contact of the domain to confirm your intent to transfer.

But on the website.in it says - you need a Transfer Auth Code from the other register, in this case Networksolutions (Also known as: "Transfer Secret" or "EPP Auth Code").

Where would i get this code from ? and do i need to email netsol for it ?

Thanks, any help/advice appreciated

ps - why is Netsol so expensive $34.99 ??? they don't seem to offer a better service than anyone else

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

When you unlock your domain, there should be an option for your epp/transfer code.

GO to website.in and initiate a transfer request. Input your epp/transfer code, complete checkout.

Once you receive your email to confirm the transfers, select approve.

Netsol is expensive because it is one of the first registrar.

I would personally use Moniker though....$6.95 + Most secure registrar.

I found the "Request Authorization Code" box and ticket it but did'nt see the actual code anywhere in my control panel - Will they email it out to me ???

.

WTF ! i just got this email from NetSol

If you intend to transfer this domain name please call Network Solutions at 1-888-642-9675 to request assistance from a transfer specialist.

I'm supposed to phone them - that can't be right surely ? Don't they just email the code out ?

Anyone ?

Don't know if you got this solved or not - but NetSol has changed their setup, probably attempting to keep a few more of their snapnames "home" - but the old EPP request is gone (At least on my pages...), and I searched the forum to see if anyone else was having trouble transferring FROM NetSol and found this.
If you figured it out, let an Allan know ;) If not - I'll keep you posted if I come across a faster way.

Ok, just figured out the problem for me.

The way to do it is to change off of the default view it takes you to when you click on "View Domain List" - and change it to almost anything else (At least viewing "whois contacts" works).
Then, you can click on the name like I used to be able to by default, and the page from there is the same.
(Basically, click on the radio button for "turn domain protect off" and click the check box for "request authorization code")

Thanks Alan, I did find it in the end - I was just a bit concerned when they sent me the first email saying I should to phone them - I did receive another automatic email from netsol the next day with the transfer code in it and it went through no problem.

If they did'nt charge so much at netsol the chances are they would keep alot more customers with them, probably even more important nowadays with all the money involved in dropping names.
