How Do I sell domain names on Ebay?

I am interested in listing some of my domains on Ebay, but I'm not sure what the steps are in doing this. Like how would I send them my domain name if they pay through Paypal. And I also want to know how to avoid getting scammed from buyers on Paypal that choose to "refund" or file a complaint that they never received their domain. Have any of you sold domains on Ebay? If one of my domains were to sell on Ebay, how do I send them the rights to the name if they are currently registered with UnitedDomains and GoDaddy? This newbie needs advice.... Thank you :hearts:

Most of your questions would be found at ebay.
So I am guessing you just do not want to be bothered at ebay.

People pay via paypal.
You then get their username and whatever information needed to move the domain to their account at the registrar.
Same thing happens at ebay as on namepros, and so many other places one sells a domain.

And not much you can do on ebay, like here, if someone decides to do a chargeback.
You can argue it out with paypal, ebay, and your registrar.
Lucky, you may win.

Thank you very much for the info IowaDawg! I appreciate your input. In your experience selling domains, are chargebacks a common practice from buyers?

Domains are considered "intangible goods," so domain sellers are not protected. Period. Scammers know this and use eBay as a hunting ground.

I used to sell tangible goods there, but the profit margin was so slim, especially after the post office changed its rates, so I don't even do that anymore.

I simply wouldn't use ebay or Paypal for domains, especially when dealing with strangers.

oh okay. What if I want to do a quick auction sale on some bad domains that I registered? Because there are a few domains that I have that I want to get rid of for cheap, but the visibility for them on GoDaddy and other domain websites is little to none. Any other sites you can recommend besides them and Ebay that I can sell my domains on for cheap? I heard of a place called Escrow, is that any better/safer? Thanks for the input.

If they're truly bad domains, then maybe just let them drop and cut your losses.

Also, you could give them away.

Just make sure they're really bad (usually hand regs are, lol, but, sometimes, one gets lucky); test one of them in the appraisal section.

But I find eBay more trouble than it's worth--others may have differing opinions, though.

These are the domains I'm planning to get rid of:
M80z.com
HQVapes.com
HQVapes.us
PCimple.com

Are they bad enough that I should drop em or you think they will be sellable on Ebay or Escrow? I mean vapes or "safe cigarettes" are trending right now. Only reason I registered them.

Put them up for auction on NamePros with a $0 start increment of $1 each. Somebody might bid for them at $0, and you've done the best you can to raise any money they might be worth whilst protecting yourself as best you can against scammers.
