What is the normal procedure? I doubt that a buyer will simply transfer money to my paypal account without some kind of guarantee.. please enlighten on this subject - Thanks in advance.

If you want a gurantee you can use Escrow.com or some other company to act as an escrow agent - I think they charge $25/transaction.

An alternative approach is to list your name on a place like Sedo and have the buyer bid on it there. Sedo does not release cash to you until they Buyer gets their domain name. But of course a commission has to be paid.

But a lot of domains get traded with no more guarantee than the other parties good reputation. I buy domains both here and on EBay and always look at Seller's reputation before sending money. So far so good - never had a loss of any signficance over hundreds of different transactions.

if you know or trust the buyer paypal can work, if the buyer is someone you don't know or trust use escrow.com or moniker, sedo, afternic escrow service.

I had a lucky first experience
the first domain I ever registered was a few weeks ago
It was techbuzz.info
I paid 99 cents
A few hours later, I had a buyer, I told him $20, he sent $250 to my paypal account
I pushed the domain the next day :)
so yo answer your question, yep, he just sent payment!

people will send paypap payments cuz is safe. you need a valid credit card for paypal and to buy a credit card you either get it from your bank,or get a prepaid one which someone can buy and needs to buy it with an atm card. and paypal has protection because when you send money, people say,"i'm sending money for this www.domainname.com",then a person has to accept your payment.
So if you say,i didn't sell the domain name, then why did u accept the payment when it says it's for this domain name.
So people will transfer money using paypal.they are protected.
