I was able to get most of my clients through word of mouth. Spread the word among family and friends that you're looking for work as a designer/marketer/whatever. If they know you're looking, then they're more likely to mention your name if they meet someone who might need a person with your skill set. If you have business cards, hand them out to people to make sure they have all your information ready. Good luck.

others sites you have to look outside of namepros is guru.com (you have to be upgraded)
freelancelounge.com
forums.freelanceuk.com
worldwidefreelancer.com

requires good portfolios to be approved of listing.

I don't want to sound mean, but as a person who hires freelancers, your post doesn't speak very highly of your abilities. Misspelled words, lower case "i", poor spacing.

You could say, oh but this is just a post, I'm better when I'm hired, but you can't go that route. You don't know how many potential employers looked at your post then clicked right off due to so many errors.

Put together a well written, properly spelled post with your abilities and post it on the various webmaster sites.

Take a look at www.freelanceswitch.com. One of the best overall freelance resources around. I believe it costs $7/month to post on the job board, but it's a substantial community with lots of opportunities.

Welcome to the board Angelhardy..

You may start working out a portfolio to first show your abilities on making designs.

I have had good luck getting projects from:

- http://www.craigslist.org

9 times out of 10 the customer will want to see a portfolio. I highly recommend putting something together even if its small to start. You can always go back and add to it later as you complete projects.

In the mean time write authoritative posts in the forum categories here at NP on subject matter that is related to your knowledge areas. This will also help prove your value and help you earn trust from the community here.
