.HOMES re-released

I received in a Uni Newsletter that .HOMES has been released without restrictions. Did anyone else see that and try to register any domains. It was tough going. Most were already taken or very premium prices from the registry. I did manage to get OFFSHORE and LAKESIDE for discounted reg fee

Whilst I was searching. I found RETAIL.DOMAINS available, so took that too

I nearly regged habitat .....I can’t decide on the ones I have as far as pricing .....seems people are putting some big figures on them

I agree. I actually used Namebio to identify high priced sales of .com domains ending in "homes".

....Smart I did the same .....plus some good old fashioned thinking ......anyways I came up with some decent ones with the highest one of my gd values just over $2800......another couple in low 2k bracket and an exact match of a com that sold for 10k

I know, I scanned .homes for all reasonable keywords already time ago

Still, all that does no matter, when it comes to the fact whether end users will give some offers to names which we have registered.

And the cost is not $10 really, it is only discounted first year costs...full renewal fee will be something much differrent (depends on the registrar where you hold it).

......Yes well this is where speculation comes into play...and smarter choices in names......I mean how long is a piece of string .....it’s way to early to tell if end users are going to adopt or even buy their com counterpart for brand protection .....but like anything you got to be in it to win it .....there are some good name choices among the group here but only time will tell ,renewals are going to be around the $30 mark .....I would not recommend going full steam and buying large amounts of this extension but a few decent picks could show some rewards .

I still think geo .homes is still the best, and proven way to go, quicker way to an exit.

You don’t want to be renewing these at $30 a year.

That tool means nothing,do a keyword search , if its a strong keyword grab it IMO

It has been six days, 1,728 domains registered and some of them listed for sale for tens of thousands of dollars. I wonder if we can see some good sales in the future.

The big question is how many .homes names will get a sale and how many owners will be able to cope up with the hefty renewal?

That depends what.homes you bought, I can only see a handful getting some really big bite son them. Bought that also comes down to if a company wants to protect there brand.In all honestly,ask your self this how much do company's pay out monthly in SEO, Marketing to protect there brands $5k- $100k a month ?
