Things certainly look different when you are not in the drivers seat would you say ? ...LOL...
If holo is hologram I own Syntechhologram.com It's also a company mentioned in South Park figure it was worth a flyer in case they become a real company.
sold paid... 2.9k .. ultra rare for me first ever market find dan offer..no outbound..bought on np few yrs back for 2fig.. prolly high 4fig name down the road.. who knows when..or if.
I think people have a chance to make mid 6 to 7 figures overall for the bull run coming.
Talking like a crypto guy now mate lol
Apple VR headset plans progress as company tests 3,000 dpi display
Of course this does not mean the first gen apple vr/mr is going to use that.
But it does say the a near future gen is likely to....
That would be a near perfect rendering at 12k per eye and wide fov.
No news is not necessarily bad news.
The month of October is normally a race to get products noticed in the software realm anyway, before the xmas season strikes. Most know they have to get them launched by/before the 3rd week of November.
While no help to names this year, it would be a significant indicator of industry growth if we see quality and volume. Quite honestly, I think the Valve Index and Quest2 will drive the titles for the season.
Thanks @VRdommy thats a couple of nice articles there.
A slick Apple headset like that would be amazing for the space. It’s getting close.
No sooner speak... And it has begun...
Resident Evil 4 VR is launching October 21st, but only on Oculus Quest 2
Honestly, I am not in to this kinda of stuff anymore (like the last 20+ years)
But I understand how well it will be received for a cheap VR Goggle.
The fact they are researching this now tells me we might see it in 2nd or 3rd gen devices.
That could be near holodeck quality if the rest of it is up to snuff.
Takes a lot of GPU to drive that. Likely a hold back for cost, heat and extra battery weight required.
Just a few more obstacles to overcome. Perhaps they have that worked out already ?
I really enjoyed this game 15 years ago. I played through it twice!
hey hey just aftr posting lately about potential of my holodeck name ...io... I get first offer of 1k today
what do u guys feel this should sell for? for tech buyers .io is best thing after com..and looks like com either wont sell or possibly for a ton... given it's running some family biz site...
Hard to say without knowing the name. Holodeck Circus won't sell for as much as Holodeck Games for example... Not that I expect you to share it publically though...
sorry for not being clear
I really did mean in there...the name...
in .io extension
Mid 5 atleast imo.
I would go for more but that's the min
I'd say, realistically I'd say 35k to 6 figures figures.... Depending on how patient you are.
If you're patient and wait 3 - 5 years I'd say minimum 6 figures.
While I would say that is hard to asses, it will be considerably more when one sells for 5 figures and/or we have a successful well known launch on a holodeck name.
Time is your friend.
IMHO, the worth of a high value domain stands solidly independent of whether or not there were any similar sales previously.
Just my take....
Not to forget the other half of VR content creation and the names that go with that.
Still innovation happening in VR 180/360 cams.
This one is targeting Quest2 formats
I believe metaverse is bringing a whole new dimension to these names.
Hope you do well with 3DChannel. It seems weird seeing it in someone else's hands. I think I owned it for around 12 or 13 years
Separate names with a comma.
