I used tools " https://www.web-stat.com " to understand the traffic come from where , So when i send the email to the buyer , than he visit the page , so i understand he come from Canada . i hope it clear now .

 

As much as I like our country, being Canadian is not a guarantee no scam involved .

I really hope that the offer is indeed authentic. And personally, I would accept it if it was. Holding company is a great name, but not many names in any TLD, particularly a new gTLD, go at that price or above.

If I was doing this as a Nigerian scammer, for example, I would use a VPN to make it look like I was in North America or Northern Europe. Good luck with it, though doesn't seem you'll be accepting.

There are good Namepros users in Africa so I shouldn't target any country disparagingly, but the "Nigerian Prince Scam" came to mind after reading other members' comments. You're right that scammers could be anywhere.

 

I think you should be happy if you get a real offer $5000. If you will receive a real offer $5k, accept it.

btw to evaluate the value of this domain then the first think to do is to ask yourself who is gonna use the name "Holding Company" as a brand name?! the term is hardly brandable and is very generic that suites more an info website or a blog talking about holding companies or related stuff.

if you sell the domain above $5k you will be very lucky.

But for the sake of the domainers in Nigeria, who strive rightly to make it in these industry, let's all act as one big family and not tarnish the image of nigerian domainers.

My reason is due to fact, that namepros is a large forum for domainers, sometimes buyers come here to make inquiries, or to make a search.. if the keep reading all these bad reviews about Nigeria do you think they would want to have anything to do with Nigerians?

So let us all avoid mentioning scam and pertaining it to one country or any country at all.
