Help needed please - First IDN

I have found an idn that I want to reg, When I searched dynadot and moniker it told me that only the .net was available but all the whois show nothing has been regged for the .com

Does anyone have any idea why I cant reg the com?

The .net has been regged before and appears to have dropped but it says the .com has never been regged?

This is my first idn so I need some help.

Reserved domain, pretty sure you're talking about a Chinese. I think it's due to the variant issue where someone has either the simplified or traditional already registered.

Simplified. That's what you need for 'mainland' China, from what I know.

Traditional works for Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Best of luck, I wasted a lot on trying to find some decent Chinese IDNs back in the day and screwed up royally. Still, I think I picked out a couple here and there that might be worthwhile.
