Well, I am a newbie here (in this forum & in this field too). I searched a lot and gain some knowledge about this field and bought some .com domain names also. Now, I have two questions in my mind. These two questions are very important for all newbies. Hope I'll get the answers. Sorry, If I ask something wrong or childish.

1. What are the good ways to sell a domain name ( free or paid)?
2. How to decide any domain name price?

Thanks in advance

The good ways to sell your domain name is to make your own domain portfolio then then promote that portfolio. Free or paid both are okay. You can decide any of the two which fits you.

Domain name price can be decided with some factors I am to tell you.

1. Domain type - if you domain is .com it is more valuable than others.
2. Domain length - What is the length. Shorter domain has more price.
3. Industry factors - Is your domain name related to some industry ?
4. Memory factors - How easy is your domain to remember, more easy more price.
5. Prediction factors - Find out if people can predict the content by just reading the domain name.
6. Domain age - what is the age, old is gold.
7. Type in factor - Do people type your domain name in browser and visit directly without any referral.
8. Niche factor - How large is the audience for your domain name. suppose i am registering games.com and then cricket.com. You know here games.com is more valuable than cricket.com because it has a large audience and many games can come under games.com but not under cricket.com

You can decide the price of your domain names on these factors and then try to sell you domain name. Don't put very high price for your domain name because now there are so much alternative for a domain name. It's better to sell many domains at lower price than to sell nothing at higher price.
Have better luck with your domains.

Hi

when you were "searching a lot" and "gaining some knowledge", before you bought some domain names......

it's obvious, you didn't come across the answers to #'s 1. and 2.

what's wrong about that?

all you did was search for something that "led you" to register some names.

after that, you quit searching.

Can you more elaborate, how to know about rank of our domain?

:talk:

newly registered domains don't have any rank.

imo....

I have only sold to end users (so far).
They don't know what page rank is, and they don't care.
They care about what the words are and the .com on the end.
PR is only important to believers in the religion of domaining.
