Hi Everyone...

I have been seeing lots of banners of PremiumDomain.com. So, I finally decided to check. I sent out few of my domains, and 1 of my domain got accepted. I was wondering if anyone else has sent any domains to them for evaluation? If you have been accepted, Have you seen any increase in traffic or offers ?

Just wondering... :hehe:

I tried two with no success either - Is this website run by Sedo ? I think one of their earlier banners had something relating to sedo on it ??

I think they may be using an automated appraisal tool - which made me wonder - If this website is associated/owned by sedo then are sedos appraisals also done by a programme ??

I can't imagine how any programme could actually produce an accurate appraisal.

PremiumDomains.com is run by CyberTonic. Most of the domains they accept are really generic. I think they also look at how much your keyword scores on Ovt.

I had a few accepted, but they didn't ever e-mail me the values as I thought their advertisement implied. Instead, the "appraisal," if accepted as "premium," pre-qualifies the domain to be listed on their site....for a charge...and to show up as "premium domain" if searched through the PremiumDomain search, which doesn't do me much good.

Did anyone else think they were going to send an e-mail with the appraisal amount?

Thats sure what their ads made it look like.
But I never got any email from them either way.

I've sent a lot of domains for the evaluation, and currently I have about 30 domain names approved as Premium domains. It's all about keywords and search popularity. Need to be generic keywords with a high OVT score.

No use sending made-up or "brandable" domains - only the ones with high OVT score are accepted. .com's are an exception in the algorithm - if you've got millions of Yahoo results and a few searches, you may get a certification.

I think it's a nice way to promote one's domains further. I've added the "Premium Domains" seal to my domain listings.

I think the SEDO collaboration is quite limited - Premium Domains are offering free listings on their pages for those domains that are parked with Sedo.

I sent one, and they accepted it (which I felt they would), but did nothing, as I have no intent to sell it. Was just curious to what they would say.

I sent a list junk ones to see if I got leapfish-esque $80-$160 valuations on $10 domains.

All rejected :)

Ya, i thought of the same thing, so i emailed them back and they gave me my "domain score". And asked me if i wanted it listed, I gladly said, i will think about it. :)

I just got an email back saying that it scored less than 300 so it's not worthy of their random website.

Ahh well, next!

I use accuratedomains.com for my appraisals, they're definately done by people and not computers.

I send 321loans.com
They don´t accept as a premium name. 1 Week later I sold them on Afternic for $1,200
All things are relative :)

PremiumDomains is for keyword domains strictly. They judge domain names mostly on their OVT search popularity. Domain names with numbers are not supported at all, it says so. Obviously an automated appraisal will not give much value to arbitrary, brandable names.

I use it as just one more tool to get a taste of the value of the name I've got my eyes on...and also it's nice to display the seal on your sales page :)

If you have questions about the service just e-mail Francois I'm sure he'll be happy to reply as he is just in the process of promoting his service.

I do the same thing, I also check for how the value of it, i mean afterall, if you do get accepted, im sure you domain is worth more than a reg. fee. It doesnt hurt to check with them.

This service is a automated appraisal taking not much factors.
I suppose the main interest of them is, that domainers put the "certificate" on their sites which is traffic driver for them.

Simply not worth visiting the site, as the "premium" tag is not representative.

IMO any automated appraisal is useless.

I'll never let my domains be evaluated by these sites.I think it's unnecessary.
