Hardcore.TV and SX.TV premium names at auction

This is an interesting situation as these are premium names and I am curious how moniker will handle it when they announce the names in the auction.

Have they had premium names in the past for other extensions?

If the people who own these name are here, maybe they could shed some light on how the application process went with these being premium names and if there was any hesitation on behalf of the auction for including them.

these names are in the silent auction, not live- they need to have that in the description or the buyer will never know

Wasn't sx.tv just sold? I wonder if the buyer knows it is in the auction?? Would there be any repercussions if the new owner does not know it is on auction and it gets sold?
Just thinking outloud!!

Excellent domain, good luck at the auction to whomever owns it.

sx was owned by dagerdash- i believe he said it sold- my guess is, he listed it back when- if it was him that listed he needs to contact moniker asap to get it removed

I own hardcore

I asked Monte at Moniker directly a while back if 1) premium names were allowed and 2)if their premium prices need to be displayed. He clearly said 'yes' to the first and 'no' to the later.

I also put a premium name up for Auction at Sedo and told them the premium renewal price and they opted not to list it on the auction (said it was soley up to me to list in the comments).

IMO, I'll leave it to them to dicate if we need to post this info or not. It's their auction that's accountable at the end of the day.

-Mike

PS I do have an issue with premium names sold that expire within only a couple months...

no its not in the comments section- mike, at the end of the day its you who might lose a nice sale- its no skin off monikers nose if the buyer backs out- and it doesnt do a thing to moniker- they will in no way let themselves be held accountable, even if monte told you no need.
other peoples ignorance is not a good reason to possibly set yourself up for a loss. chances are that name is gonna get bids- its one of the nicest names in there-
buyer ends up pissed and backs out and moniker says oh well

Thank you for the info dcMike. Folks we have transparency problems that need to be addressed here, this is a serious issue in my opinion.

Have there been .tv names in Moniker auctions before?

i dont know if there have been premiums before...
that is exactly my point- as domainers and investors in .tv, its important that we make sure that our names are listed as they should be. we cant rely on another company to always do the right thing, because they wont.

As of right now, the only way to check premium prices is through ahead.tv or to call demand media?

Demand Media has said that they will not tell someone other than the registrant.

If Monte is saying the premium does not need to be stated he is absolutely wrong and I will tell him so, what a joke. I grow more disenfranchised with this industry every day.

Is this auction going to be in Miami?
Maybe I will drive down to it.

Yes.

Hot.tv sold at the last Domain Tools auction for $35k (1 bid). Renewal was $5k per year but I remember the seller mentioning that the renewal was paid ahead a few years.

Is Domain Tools a Moniker auction as well?
