Got an offer at Afternic

I just received an Afternic offer for $125 for my domain:
OpenTent.com
My domain is not parked at Afternic but is listed with them.
What kind of fees does Afternic charge in this situation?
Also what is the fair market value of this name? Should I just accept the offer or counter with a higher offer?
I appreciate any input in this matter. Thanks

Are you needing any cash now? IF NO, then, start your counter offers at $500, then slowly neg. downwards. just mho :)
(and dont let your potential buyer see this thread)

and.. congrats

Afternic? Surprise of the century!

End-users are usually willing to pay triple what they offer. I'd take the above person's advice and counter with $500 if you don't need money.

If you do, counter $380.

After escrow the high escrow fees at Afternic... How much will you walk away with? I dont think it will be enough to even bother.

domain name value will often depends "how badly the person behind offer needs the domain".

125$ is nothing, if you are considering escrew.

Lol, escrew,

Yeah you won't make much after you pay a minimum $60.00 selling fee either.

whatever price you counter with add 'buyer pays escrow' which is (insert afternic calcs)
I recently completed an escrow sale through afternic...the process went OK.

I'd counter $1500 for it!

$125 probably isn't worth the headache unless it's a forum sale or a whois contact.
Say as much, and move 'em North some ;)

I would counter offer around $500 or less if you need the money. You aren't going to make much after all the fees if it sells for $125.

At first I only saw only two choices:

Accept the current Offer
or
Reject current offer

So I just rejected the offer. And then I got another email from Afternic today. The Buyer is now offering me $265. I examined the email a little closer and now I see the link where I can send a message to the Buyer in reply to this offer.
In the past, I have had other offers (sedo and email), on some of my other names. The transactions have always fallen thru after I countered with a higher offer. I would hate to scare this Buyer off, but I would like to get the most for my name as possible. The name opentent.com may not seem that great, but I have seen crappier names sold for alot higher. I think I will take the advice and now counter with $500. Wish me luck :)

I even don't know how to make a counter offer at Afternic.

I could see 2 options only:
Accept the current Offer
or
Reject current offer

So how to send a counter offer to the potential buyer?

Thanks!

But Afternic even doesn't send me a email to inform this has an offer :( I know it when I log in my account 9I use the same email address for my Sedo account and no problem with Sedo)

Check your spam filter and or check your account info at afternic and make sure the email address is correct. If this does not work I would contact Afternic directly. Hope this helps!

I know...I think I let that one go too cheap, but it was a good learning experience! The next name I sold after that one was for $2000!!!
