It was reported earlier on CNN that Bill Gates said ".Mobi Is The Future"!

Also according to CNN, there have been 6 new private .mobi sales ranging from $200,000 to $1,500,000!

This is great news for .MOBIers!

Everyone get on the .MOBI boat! You can't afford not to get more long .MOBIs!

Why wouldn't Bill Gates endorse .mobi? His company is one of the original backers of the TLD. Maybe he didn't do it on CNN, but he at least financially backed it.

I know... but I have yet to find out much about how vested Gates/MSFT is in it. I mean if he gave them 1m, not really much of a stake for someone like him. But if he put 100m+ in it... he would obviously be interested in making sure it succeeds.

Bill Gates also made a comment earlier about how domain names were the assetts to appreciate the most in the future or something like that. I think he's quite in tune with new tech, but this statement now is probably true, but could still be a fallacy. Just because Bill Gates thinks .mobi is the future doesn't mean its really the future. But from the recent sales, hype and activity in the .mobi sphere, i think .mobi is doing so good so far.
