Good domain name for my website?

I am building a website called Church of the Toxic Monkey, however cottm.com (the initials) was taken, and is being used, and I tried to reach the owners of toxicmonkey.com as they aren't using the domain, but I couldn't reach them. churchofthetoxicmonkey.com is aviable, but I personally think it is too long. And I think that churchtoxicmonkey would be hard or awkward to remember, because of the words "of" and "the" in the middle of the name of the website. What do you guys think is a good name, that is eigher aviable, or could be bought from the owner cheap?

If it's available I think you should grab it before some other rascal does. If you decide not to use it, no harm done, only a few dollars lost. But if someone else takes it you might kick yourself later.

A lot of the times, they just aren't reachable, and even if they are, they will try and pull a high price out of you.

I was referring to churchofthetoxicmonkey.com but I see you got it.

The name makes me think along the lines of the army of the 12 monkeys (from the film), or InsaneClownPosse.

If its for a religious group, that would be perfect. Something tells me this "church" isn't of the divine variety, but who am I to judge?

I like the way that c and x reflect each other in the name. It makes the name easier to remember. You could forward ChurchOfTheToxicMonkey.com to the site.

Interesting approach. I agree that the reflection makes the name look good.

imo, there's nothing wrong with chruchofthetoxicmonkey.com IN THIS CASE. So many people are afraid of registering long domains because they think people won't remember them. So they try to come up with crazy variations, and then end up spending more money on branding than if they had just went with the longer name.

Since the site seems like it's going to be a little off the wall, the title itself is what's going to stick in people's minds. Give them a crazy domain name to try and remember, and it will be harder.

"Hey, I found a cool site called "Church of the toxic monkey!"

"Cool, what's the address?"

"ChurchOfTheToxicMonkey dot com, duh"
