Gold had a great last 5 days! Good for gold domains, but it needs to keep this up. Comex has very low inventory, a default could mean a moonshot! Gold domains are a great long-term hold.

IK, I like.COMs best, but a good one word with .gold would be alright. I'm out of fresh ideas for new regs atm. If I think of something good I'd register it. I just don't see any marathons like when I first started. I ended up with at least a dozen. I was surprised by goldchronicle too, I think I seen that it was registered a couple times in the past. I would love to develop it someday but, it would be an ongoing time expenditure, which I'm not ready for just yet. It's a nice 2 word generic meaning news. Goldnews.com would be great, obviously, but expensive. I can't think of much else that sounds better than chronicle to go with gold, so ya I'm happy and excited to have it.

buygold.io is the only extension other than com and net for the gold and silver. I just really wanted those keywords (buy gold). Most mine are .com anyways, a couple .net, like goldchat.net. Heh, I don't really have a favorite, I have an idea for them all. Maybe once I make some sites my favorite would be which one does the best:P

There's a really big silver & gold community on Youtube in case all of you didn't know. It's really interesting. Silver Stackers, Silver Porn, Gold Stackers, Gold Porn, SIlver Coins, Gold Coins are among the titles of many of these videos. Youtubers showcase their finds, investments, and collections. It's really fun and entertaining. It also motivates me to buy more. It's great to have, at bare minimum, 30% salary in precious metals. It's a really good investment. There are a ton of websites popping up for it too. There's a really great forum to checkout too called SilverStackers[.]com

Your example is valid but it is very specific for someone with a very tight budget that counts even his cents. If I were him, I wouldn't even consider spending $2,495 for a name. I would pay my bills, work hard, make sure I have some money aside and then only take the decision to buy the name for this price.

I hope that the one who buys it for my price is the one who has alot of 5kg bars, to build the full business, including the complex exchanging website. This potential end-user I have in my mind and that's why I wrote "very cheap" . If the buyer spends his last $2,495 to buy it then it's his problem for not taking the right decision.

Dimitris - I think you would be better off establishing the domain into a website. It doesn't have to be huge. It can be a one-page informational website about silver. Place ads, pictures, and utilize affiliate programs. Establish the website so that this 'end user' you seek would see something much more appealing. Imagine if you already have a website bringing in traffic, Google Adsense revenue, and small profits from affiliate programs. Let's say your website was making, on average $20 per month. That alone would be much more appealing. It would be more if you routinely updated the website, had a big influx of visitors, similar to coinflation.com or one of the other simple, but affective websites. SilverEx.com would be much more attractive. Just a thought :P.
