I reg'd GoldChronicle . Com for a future gold news site.

Yea I have more gold/silver/bullion domains than anything! It is my real passion too. I'm surprised how many decent ones I've been able to reg. I did make buygold.io early this year. If I were you I wouldn't waste too much money on .IO and .GOLD domains. Stick to .COM, .NET, .ORG, and .CO if you really have the bug of registering anything other than .COM but just remember .COM is the best.

I only buy .COM domains and was able to grab quite a few domains related to silver, gold, platinum, rare coins, cash for gold, and rare notes. I am crazy over it all too. It's incredibly fun and the market is huge. If someone had an awesome .COM name for sale I would try to make a deal with them to buy it. When do you think you will pick up more domains?

FYI GoldChronicle.com is pretty damn awesome and you were really lucky to hand register that. You should definitely develop that.

IK, I like.COMs best, but a good one word with .gold would be alright. I'm out of fresh ideas for new regs atm. If I think of something good I'd register it. I just don't see any marathons like when I first started. I ended up with at least a dozen. I was surprised by goldchronicle too, I think I seen that it was registered a couple times in the past. I would love to develop it someday but, it would be an ongoing time expenditure, which I'm not ready for just yet. It's a nice 2 word generic meaning news. Goldnews.com would be great, obviously, but expensive. I can't think of much else that sounds better than chronicle to go with gold, so ya I'm happy and excited to have it.

buygold.io is the only extension other than com and net for the gold and silver. I just really wanted those keywords (buy gold). Most mine are .com anyways, a couple .net, like goldchat.net. Heh, I don't really have a favorite, I have an idea for them all. Maybe once I make some sites my favorite would be which one does the best:P

If I can't see exactly what I would use it for, or it doesn't seem it would be top-tier at what the objective was, I wouldn't make it. I love .COM too and I wouldn't really register anything else except .com even though there are hundreds, if not thousands, of other extensions available with more extensions to be released in the future. This is making .com names more sought after and rare. I would be very careful with the .gold domains.

I wouldn't ever personally register one even if it was one-word. I am strictly .com with very little exception to others. GoldChronicle.com is very catchy and you should really look into developing that. I would. I think that's really catchy. Goldnews.com is really good too. I would prefer to have that too but that would cost quite a bit of money.

Both are great domains and I think you would be able to turn these into something good too if you put time into developing them. There are a lot of free web building services available that's easy to use for the novice like the tools at wix.com, godaddy.com, etc.

There's a really big silver & gold community on Youtube in case all of you didn't know. It's really interesting. Silver Stackers, Silver Porn, Gold Stackers, Gold Porn, SIlver Coins, Gold Coins are among the titles of many of these videos. Youtubers showcase their finds, investments, and collections. It's really fun and entertaining. It also motivates me to buy more. It's great to have, at bare minimum, 30% salary in precious metals. It's a really good investment. There are a ton of websites popping up for it too. There's a really great forum to checkout too called SilverStackers[.]com

I don't know. Currently I am trying to build a decent portfolio. I think I will start to develop more within 2-3 years. Right now I am more focused on finding good domains to replace my worst ones with.

I look at whois history preview by domaintools.com before regging something, and very often PM-related domains that are available now were occupied from late 2007-2008 to 2014-15, from the 1st round of the GFC to the time when gold sorta plateaued at the bottom (some argue about the bottom).

mmm... for these types of domains, it's best to have 1 word. eGold would have looked excellent as a .COM but as a .online is a bit of a waste unless you had plans for serious development or some type of gold blog.

Hi artstar. I mean no disrespect, I am only saying the new gLTDs are not good for anything beyond one word. This is just my personal opinion, just as it's your personal opinion to believe egold.online is a good investment. I wouldn't really say I am a domain rookie. Goldhoard.com was acquired to showcase the remarkable story of the Saddle Ridge Gold Hoard found by a couple walking on their property in the San Francisco Bay Area. The full story can be seen when you visit the website. I have many precious metals domains I have acquired over the years.
