Hey there,
Yesterday I bought a site from somebody who's domain is registered at godaddy.com. I registered to Godaddy and he then begun the transfer proccess.
I got an email from Godaddy saying "Dear Person A..." (the Domain Seller & our Example).
Now I found this weird because i'm person B. Why am I receiving an email titled to the guy who's selling me the domain.
Anyways, the email contained a Transaction ID or something which I had to input into Godaddy's UI to begin the transfer. "Invalid ID". I tried a few times and still got the same error. I then asked nicely to the guy who sold me the domain to re-initiate the proccess of seiding the domain which he kindly did. I got a fresh ID and tried that. Still did'nt work.
I was wondering if anyone could help me or assist me in what to do as it's driving me crazy as I can't use my new domain name that I bought yesterday.
I've heard of this happening to one person before but it was all sorted with a simple re-transfer. That's not the case with me.
Thanks for looking, hope you can help.
Lewis.
