Transfers question

I emailed Godaddy a question and thought I'd ask here too to see if I can get a quick responce.

This was the email to Godaddy

Hi there,

I have the domain www.grungemusicforum.com in my account and recently sold the site and the buyer put in a domain transfer request to transfer it to his registrar of choice @ domainmonger.

He got this response

'grungemusicforum.com can't be transferred to Domainmonger at this time.

The reasons that a domain can't be transferred are:
1 - Domain not registered
2 - Domain is expired
3 - Domain is not yet 60 days old
4 - Domain is locked at the current Registrar

If you need have any questions or need assistance, please feel free to contact us.'

Now, the domain is obviously registered, it isn't expired, it's more then 60 days old and is also unlocked.

What is the prob pls?

Pls assist as he is keen to get it going from his end.

It is always best for you to initiate the transfer of any domain rather than the buyer put in a transfer request.

Go into your account where the domain resides, unlock it, and push it into an account in the name of your buyer. He then can then access his godaddy account, change the password and do with it as he so wishes.

He wants it at his own registrar tho?

Bit pedantic of him seeing as though he has full dns control at godaddy.

Never heard of such an issue before but if this is as you say and you have had the domain for more than 60days (which Im guessing you have) then its simply because, under the new Icann rules that have suddenly allowed chancers to be able to steal domains simply by submitting a transfer request and you not replying, they will have locked it.

It's unlocked, I just checked, i un-locked it yesterday for the transfer to go through.

Questions:

1. Have you fully complied with all requirements from DomainMonger?

2. If no. 1 is yes, check with Go Daddy to see if they've gotten the request,
probably within 24 hours.

3. Did you make any change to the domain name, especially the registrant
name or a push to another account, these past 60 days?

1 - I don't use domainmongerm the buyer does so I am guessing yes

2 - I have emailed them

3- Nope
