GoDaddy to Fabulous - Transfer taking 4 days now

I am trying ot transfer 7 domains from GD to fabulous. All domains had 15 dyas left on registration when I initiated the trans from fabulous. It has now been 4 days and still no transfer and shows in Fabulous as "Authority Waiting"


WTF!

HOw many days before expiration does GD allow you to transfer out from GD?

I tried once (2 weeks ago) for domains that had 5 days to expiration and they were not accepted.

I am now calling GD. <ring>

Now on hold as the guy goes to find the reason why my transfers have not been completed at this point.

ALso, just so you know, the guy told me that you cannot transfer domain out of GD from 1-10 days before expiration date. So, I should be OK on this, but this 10 day things is really the pits. Do all regs have this rule?

Back on, said he is transerring my call to a transfer concierge although he said they might be out for the day..

Transfer concierge dept is not there, he says. Told me to call in tomorrow. Said everything should be taken care of when I call and talk to the trans concierge dept tomorrow. We'll see. Before I hung up I verified that i did everything correctly. Oops. Forgot to get the guys name.

This is the first problem I have ever had with GD. Thankfully I made my decision to transfer out of GD little by little last month. But it is certainly a pain, especially this 10 day rule (which I still fail to find in print on their site).

Everything seems to be harder at Godaddy. (do you think the godaddy girl has caused this? :lol: :lol: )

i like the capability of locking domains in godaddy and still you can change the info on it. or was it a bad feature?

I'll assume you've fully complied and confirmed the transfers with Fabulous. So
the problem's on Go Daddy's end.

Better complaint to ICANN about it right away:

Yes, the problem should be on GD end because, as I stated, I did every thing correctly to the best of my knowledge, even got the Fabulous email confirming the transfer initiations. I sent mike a list of the domans to check out anyway, but it seems to me that the problem is with GD. We'll hav et see.

And no, I'm not going to report GD about this if my domains actuelly get transferred with no more hassel or sheningans. I still have a fair amt of domains left at GD and I don't want to piss anyone off. I lost domains before when taking my full rights as a consumer and I ain't losing anymore.

We'll have to wait and see. I amy not be able to call GD tomorrow because I'll be busy and away from home most of the day. So I may have to call them on Thurs instead.

Im current transfering two names to namecheap from godaddy.

So far one domain has taken since the 01/15/2006 so 4 days aswell. Godaddy did send me a email though saying i have untill the 20th of January to cancel the transfer so i assume they will be releasing it on that date.

Namecheap support have told me its currently in godaddys hands why im still waiting.

I have always the same problem when transfering domains away from godaddy, they just don't send any transfer request!

so what you have to do is:

login to your godaddy account,
go to "my account"
under "domain names" section you will find "Pending Domain Transfers" link.
under that you will find all your pending transfers, you have just to accept them!
that's it, all domains will be transferd almost instantly!
