Just received a mail from Godaddy Domain Buy Service informing me that a GD customer has an immediate interest in purchasing a domain. Anyone else had one of these and how do they hang together? Anything i should watch out for?

Be sure to ask what you want for your domain, and stick to it. Or ask for more and negotiate down to what you want.

Thanks for your input. They have 2 options. I can reply with a specified amount i want or they will submit an offer. I think i will let them submit an offer as it may be higher than what i specify. Will sit on it a few days and let them sweat a little if they really want it. Have not sold a name through GD before so not sure how it works.

I got an email a few weeks ago for a domain name that sold via their premium listing. So mine was different as the buyer just paid the BIN price. They took the domain out of my account and held funds for 5 days and released the rest minus 30%......Yours seems like a "how much offer" so not sure how that goes.

the first time I got an offer this way, it was for $100. I checked, and the fee for the buying service was $69. I suppose someone may have used the buying service without knowing how to go direct.

I have only one expirience with GD buy service.
They informed me that someone is willing to pay $550 for the domain I own.
I was happy to sell this name for that ammount and approved their offer.
In 3 weeks the deal was canceled, cause the buyer didn't pay for the name.
On my 2 requests GD broker didn't give me any info about the "buyer". He just didn't reply on my questions.

I sold a domain name for $3,500 earlier this year through this service. The initial offer was $200 and we negotiated up from there. =)
