Hi guys,
I've just opened my email to find this message from godaddy

I was shocked as I've just bought the domain name two days ago.
As godaddy is not allowing Direct Chat with support for Moroccan people , I've to call them , and I did , but their support keep telling me that he don't know why the domain got cancelled and I have to check their last email which have the processes to follow to get the domain back. I kept telling him that I haven't received any message from them and the only message was the cancellation canfirmation , but he kept telling me he can't do anything. The funny thing he said is that I can't even get my money back even if they don't give my domain back.
I have many domains registered with godaddy and I'm worry that I wake up tomorrow to find that all the domain names got cancelled for no reason.
So what should I do guys? I can't transfer all my domain names right now , so please don't suggest that !

Call gd again; I had similar situation. Ask for the manager in charge. Tell them I don't have the time to play anybody games. Sometime you will get lucky, you can get a real person and knows how to take care of this kind of issue. Or get
@Joe Styler, so he can address this situation...

Thanks for your reply. I'm concerned about the other domains I own. Also how godaddy has the right to cancel any domain name they want without any notification or any reason ?! ICANN do allow that !!?

Write to [email protected] asap, did you use a coupon with a newly opened account to register the domain?

no I bought the domain from another person who did push the domain into my account, and yeah I guess he did register it with a coupon.

There are 1000's of repossessed domain at Godaddy. It's very strange that there are so many domains being repossessed. They all get put up on their aftermarket auction site. Not at $12 but from $25-$40. They don't put them back on the market to be reg'd.

Call them back. Their customer help has gone down lately. I've called in to support to have them tell me to email support.

Sometimes they don't seem to know where to look for the answers.

Not sure what's going on with that domain. On what date did you buy it?
The seller could have done something fishy to buy it in the first place.

from a guy I know , he hand reg it , and he pushed it into my account. I had no issue before , but I'm worry now that they may take all my domain names

There could have been a problem with his credit card or his method of payment.

Contact the seller and ask them to look at their statement for anything weird.
I'm still not sure why there are 1000's of repossessed domains listed on the auction site.

If there is any issues give them a call. I always usually get issues resolved ASAP when I speak with someone from customer services team.

Agree their customer service has gone down hill. I had a very URGENT issue and contacted my VIP rep.. they didn't even reply for about a week. If that's how soon an email labeled URGENT takes I can only imagine how much longer it would take without it.

The seller could have done something fishy to buy it in the first place.

Very likely what might have happened, usually it is payment related.

Usually I try to call back and get a different person on the phone. Sometimes that helps.

The seller said he did use his credit card to buy the domain , but he used a fake name to create that account , and now he found that they have limited his account and he need to provide his national ID with the name he did register with (and he don't want to do that because he never give his ID). The seller also don't want to refund as he did lose his account and he did pay for the domain.
I just want to know why they took it from my account , the domain has nothing to do with that seller ? he showed me the payment using his real card , so they did get the money . Just because the seller refuse to give them his ID , they can take the domain from my account even that I'm a new owner ?!! dafuq is this !!

Well there's your problem. He's caused you the problem, if you don't get the name you need to demand a full refund, why would he create a fake account? He obviously did this for a dishonest reason.

That doesn't make sense. What if you have bought a name from someone and you finish the Deal. And you also sell the domain to semeone else. Then later the first seller didn't want to give his national ID for his privacay , so godaddy took the domain for themselves , and then your buyer start complaining asking for a refund because he just lost the domain you sold him. That really doesn't make any sense . the person I bought it from did pay for the domain using his real CC , he don't want to refund because he didn't also get a refund . my question why I have to deal with this , they can just ban him if he don't want to give his ID and leave me alone , I have nothing to do with that seller , why I have to lose the domain ??
