hi

I don't know whether this change was already happened in godaddy

but for me this is first experience

when i tried to push a recently registered domain,i am getting this error msg

MHKRFxF.jpg

and when i checked in godaddy Help

i found this

Account changes can only be performed 5 days after the initial registration.

Last time i remember, i could easily push a newly registered domain with in 10 minutes after registeration

Does evrybody experience this?

.US domains.US domains
I only pushed a newly registered domain name to another account 20 mins after registering and it went through fine.. this was less than a week ago.. so this would be a new thing

I just now pushed a domain within minutes of registering it. No problem. I think the policy might vary depending on what country you're in.

What is Domain Push? Will You People Quit Assuming Everyone Knows Your "In" Words!!!!

I don't have any problem if this forum is only suppose to be for experienced domainers who have their "own" buzz words but if it's not Please quit using words/terms that mean nothing to those who aren't experienced domainers !

Earlier this month, I got in trouble for reacting hostile to when someone told me I should "Delete a Domain". Apparently that meant to the poster and many people here, to return and get a refund for the domain name. How exactly was I suppose to know that! Duh!

Anyway what is a Domain Push?. Is it a violent shove or just a playful shub, a domain tie or what?

A push is essentially a domain name transfer between separate user accounts within the same registrar. Not all registrars enable you to do this.

A domain "push" is used to transfer a domain name from one owner to another using the same registrar.
To do this, the seller and the buyer must each have an account with the registrar where the domain is registered.
So, you own xxxxx.com which is registered at say Godaddy.
You sell it to another person who also has a Godaddy account.
You then "push" the domain name from your account to his/her account using their username and email address associated with that account. (This is usually free to do)

I hope that covers it.

Regards

Ralph.

...t Please quit using words/terms that mean nothing to those who aren't experienced domainers !

...
':O'!!?!

And what would your suggestion be for this? Make up new terms? Not use any known terms in case someone 'new' doesn't know what they mean? Write everything out in long term explainations, just in case someone 'new' might be reading?? good grief. You don't know something, just ask!! When you learn or join anything 'new to you', do always expect that group to not use known related terms, just because you or someone else may be new to them?

wow. :'(

Ummm.... So you're frequenting a forum called NamePROS with the expectation that everyone posting will take the extra time to make sure that each and every post is comprehensible to an absolute newbie just so you can be spared the agonizing torture of asking a question? Good luck with that.

Suggestion genious is to say the term in English, i.e. instead of delete say try to return for a refund. Hawkeye in case I wasn't clear, Shove it UPYA!
Oh aren't you a classy one. You'll be gone in less than 6 months, back to flipping burgers, or maybe just busing tables.

If people who don't know the terms used in a certain field would just look around then there is usually a place you can look up common terms in a certain forum. I am fairly new to this field but even I did a look around the forum here and found the thread below which has most of the terms seasoned vets use. If this user would have just looked around he/she could have found this thread at the TOP of the newbie forum here on namepros. Just take a glance around when you are new somewhere and you will be surprised what you can learn.

A problem among too many noobs is that they expect to be spoon fed information. A fairly common term like "push" is not some secret held by "seasoned vets". A simple Google search should provide plenty of good answers to the question "what is a domain push?"
