Isn't that the point though?
At present, I find the Verisign pool a bit of a mixed bag in terms of quality which is why I suggested that Sedo might like to cherry pick the best of the NP names to strengthen the Verisign pool.
As it is an auction, the concept of 'cheaper' doesn't really apply. As relates to 'better', if the best of namepros' names are grouped with Verisign's offerings it will just look to a buyer that there are better names in the pool - they don't care where they come from, and presumably better names means more buzz around the auction benefiting Verisign.
Otherwise for namepros members to auction names at the same time (in competition with Verisign) may risk diluting Verisign's results, which I can't see helping .tv at all (but, I concede could benefit some indivdual sellers, and therefore I have no objection to the idea).
Failing that maybe Namepros could do a special auction of again, say, $100 cherry picked names rather than everything that everybody is trying to get rid of. We could appoint a panel to select the best names from a pool. Personally I favour quality over quantity (better for .tv as a whole) and removing premium renewal names from the mix (to avoid the confuision which has been dogging the tld for too long). In addition, maybe verisign would agree to waive the premium renewal fees for names accepted into their auction in return for the benefit that will flow to them from the publicity surrounding the sales.
I don't have any contacts at Sedo or Enom so this is just speculation...
