Frustration - I wish

I wish domains still costed $xx to register. I think it would stop the industry from being so diluted. People would reconsider before blowing money that on a useless domain that they have no attention of promoting or developing

My frustration comes that I came up with a domain that is brandable. Saw that it was registered 1y. Not developed. Had 4 months left to expire. I contacted the seller. He wanted high $xxxx. Seriously. A 7L. Domain with no google results and in developed.

Used the domain tools function. Seems he has about 10 domains with that email. My guessing he is new

I think you should have waited to see if the domain was going to be renewed.

Just 10 minutes ago I hand regged a domain the owner wanted $500 for a few months ago (I offered about $50 or so)

New price: $3 with a coupon.

Just saying: Keep watching that domain you might get it for reg fee soon..

I moved on.. But still .. I Have ever and would never pay that much for a domain unless it had realistic value

I recently made a similar post to yours. It made me look at things from the other point of view. Hopefully it does the same for you.

Frustrating but understandable.

When people contact you first is the time to ask for more money.

They dont know if Ray the Hollywood producer is contacting them.

My guess is there trying the tactic of asking the moon, hoping for a cow counter.

4 months left to expire mean absolutely nothing in so far as the likelihood of the owner renewing it.

Remember not every owner of a no G results 7L is a domain forum $x-xx trader

I did write him back and told him that I would offer $50. He responded saying the lowest he would go is $4200 as he sees the value of the domain.
