Sedo.com would require bidders/buyers to put a Nonrefundable down payment in order to purchase a domain name (account credit) based on the percentage of the offer/bid amount. If the buyer backs out, the domain seller would split the fee with Sedo 70/30!

What is your I Wish That......? (be realistic)

Nice idea Yofie, this should be interesting :tu:

I wish parking pages always showed ads that represent your chosen keywords......especially in the current climate where certain ads may be ground to get you in trouble legally.

nice idea, perfect in theory and in reality it won't happen as they'll lose out on potential buyers

One of my wishes would be that we didn't have to have a wish list and that the auction companies had their poop in a group before the wishlist could ever start!

I wish that auctions houses such as Moniker, Domaintools TRAFFIC etc did not tie up unsold domains for extortionately extended time periods after the auction has ended. This discourages me to submit any decent names that I may not get a buyer for at the auction but may sell via Sedo, Afternic at a later date.
I am certainly not going to give 10% to Sedo etc and then hand over 15%-20% to another company that didn't sell the domain!

I wish Sedo escrow didn't take at least 5 days for each step of the escrow process.

I wish I could sell more domains and register less.

I wish I could develop more domains like before and make money on it and register a few that I could flip fast.

I wish domainers can see the importance of domain monitor services and they treat it like they treat parking companies.

I wish that SnapNames.com "member listed" domain names wouldn't Raise in price with each person entering the auction... I wish the member listed domains were auctioned the same way expired domains are!

I wish I understood ALL the important stuff about domaining...

Like this, for instance...

i wish there was a really huge company that the whole world knew sold reseller domains really easily and at a decent price.

i don't mean sedo or afternic or anything like that (i only learnt about them after domaining). a huge company - like google, amazon, ebay, Century 21, et al - but just for domains. and who spends the money and advertises to get the word out.

and really simple for people to browse by good categories - unlike sedo - as easy to find a name as is browsing the yellow pages online.

then we'd have a direct line to mom an pop businesses, and bigger businesses, and for a small comission have no shortage of sales offers.

I wish domainers stopped asking for appraisals on regfee domains (unrealistic, sorry let me try again)

I wish ICANN changed their mind about releasing all these new extensions
