Wish I could have seen the look...

on my face when I went to domaintools.com and went to their suggestions tab and typed in "golf". I do this so i can see if all the extensions are registered. Well after typing "golf" in I see that .info is not registered so my eyes light up and I can't get over to namecheap fast enough to register it, only to find out that its registered until like '08. Damn Domain Tools. This happens a lot with them.

Your post/description is pretty funny ... though I do feel your pain regarding the perceived availability (at times) of domains on Whois.sc, errrr ... I mean DomainTools! :gl: :yell:

Best place to sometimes (double) check domains quickly, IMHO ... is, believe it or not:
www.Register.com (among others) :imho:

Cool, thanks for the link to register.com. I think I'm just going to be done with Domain Tools. I've not liked them since they changed from Whois.sc. I'm sure it's the same databases, etc..but what happened with golf.info has happened alot to me lately with them.

verify it again on dnsreport.com

Do a search for "gold" on RegFly OR NetFirms and then try and register it!
They take your money for a day or two before they figure out their domain sniffer doesn't work.
